So, % please pal. From one footie fan to another.Just don't see him coming, or it working, mid season. He didn't even like signing players in January as it would take too long for them to be trained up to scratch.

I think everyone would sign up to going down and a guaranteed immediate return with better prospects. It just isn't possible to guarantee.****unless we are willing to ride him down into the Championship and back.
Agree 100% with that caveat added.
I would have put my head in the oven about that a year ago, but right now? Not sure if youze have the game show "Let's Make A Deal." You get offered Prize X and then you have to guess, do you want what's behind Door #2 instead? Could be a new car, could be a goat (a literal goat)*
If you said to me right now, "you hire Bielsa, you go down this season, but he instills the right culture at the club, you come right back up next year, and you're a lean, mean, fighting machine, culture problem solved, you become the team everyone hates to play, consistently top half and able to push for Europe? Or do you want Door #2?
I gotta say.....
Bielsa sounds like an ideal cultural shift for us. But as so many have said, it's a move that needs a lot of time that we dont have, and it requires complete obedience and discipline at all levels of the club to buy into.
We're not the project that he or us requires right now.
If Dyche wants the job, then hand it to him. And let's get a couple of forwards in ASAP and go with that.
To be fair I think the pace thing gets overstated. Plenty of the current squad are quick, and plenty more are at least average. What we lack more than anything is guile, we move the ball slowly because nobody has any quality, we get caught the wrong side of the ball because we have to push too many people forward to compensate for the lack of actual ability. In terms of pure running speed I doubt we're much different to most sides.Mad how "too slow" has been a big problem for us for years. I swear no other club is as weirdly attached to slow, ponderous chuggers.
He’s got half a season and a pre season to get them ready for the ChampionshipJust don't see him coming, or it working, mid season. He didn't even like signing players in January as it would take too long for them to be trained up to scratch.
I think it’s the perfect time. During the summer, there isn’t the urgency of a relegation battle.
I think Dyche gets a bad rap.I think everyone would sign up to going down and a guaranteed immediate return with better prospects. It just isn't possible to guarantee.
If we had Bielsa here and we took the drop he'd be pitchforked.
We are far better off going for a possible quick fix of wither Moyes or Dyche.
This is it for me. It's all very well saying if we went down he could get us back up, but if we take a few pastings under him between now and the end of the season like Leeds regularly did, and end up going down, people will very quickly lose faith and patience with him.I think everyone would sign up to going down and a guaranteed immediate return with better prospects. Could probably say the same or about most managers were afterThis is it for me. I always wondered if you could refuse to take delivery of the goat.
Yes, you could. The main difference is that most people aren't making that argument about other managers in the same way. The pastings also seem much more likely under Bielsa, it just comes with the territory of how he sets up.Could probably say the same or about most managers were after
No manager who relegated Everton would be ariund the next season. The sense of outrage would avalanche that manager.
Hire Bielsa in the summer if we go down.
He doesn't tbh, go and look at his record, its utterly dreadful, something like a 35% win rate overall, managed in nearly 500 games (well 474 to be precise) and only won 166 games overall. That's not great, the other thing is that he will play 4-4-2. We will need proper fullbacks and proper wingers (we have neither at the moment) to play the way he wants. Unless we run out of all other options Id avoid him.I think Dyche gets a bad rap.
