Arteta is a rat for walking away at the final hour on deadline day and then celebrating against us - also tried to get Baines sent off

Cahill is a rat for shilling for the World Cup and other selfish ventures
Didn't we get something like £10m for Arteta after years of great service? Don't know what you mean re "shilling" as I don't know what that means.

either we’re down
As other people have said, they've seen worse Everton sides go right to the final day and stay up, none of them were admitting defeat with 18 games to go.

This season there's 3 points between the bottom and 14th. As it stands all of those teams are in the mire - I gaurentee if we were sitting where Leicester are in 14th there'd still be people on here adamant that we're going down just like last season even though we'd all give anything for that now.

I believe a decent manager can get us 6 or 7 wins and a handful of draws from our remaining fixtures which should be enough to stay up and add a few half decent signings to that and it looks even better.

But i'm a realist also, were not in a good position, worse than last season so yes of course we can go down, very good chance of it but there's still a chance we can turn this around and stay up. Let's just wait and see. Some of us are so defeatist and that negativity spreads and seeps in. We need to be behind the team and new manager and have belief they can turn it around - not giving up and admitting defeat when there's 18 games and 54 points to play for! We're not down til we're down so until then let's just have a bit of belief. It's football anything can happen.

…. just forget he sits on a bucket and is eccentric. Remember this;

Leeds United conceded 13 more PL goals than Everton last season. Leeds United scored less PL goals than Everton last season.

Everton stayed up by the skin of their teeth. Leeds finished below Everton.

Only Norwich conceded more goals than Leeds. I have no idea why the club are even talking to him, never mind trying to convince him to be our Manager.

…and him being a character.

Just remember Leeds performance at Goodison last season, they were awful. We won 3-0, it could’ve been 6, they had no defensive organisation.
If I remember correctly they were depleted by injuries, and it was Lampard first league game, our players were playing at an unbelievable energy level that was not seen for ages. We out muscled and outrun them. It was an unusual game and we’ve never reach that level again. Using that game as benchmark is just like saying Lampard is a better manager.

It’s part myth that it fell apart for Leeds only because all his players were very tired. No doubt they rivalled us for injury last levels last season. A lot of it was because teams had started to use elements of Leeds man for man marking against them, dragging full backs miles into midfield leaving massive chasms for the centre backs to cover, then exploited those spaces, centre backs then got pulled wide etc etc etc. Better teams did it first, then even lesser teams had success doing it.

Fortunately our little flowers won’t obey those instructions, so the big gaps won’t appear.

They need to see this post to bring them to their senses. It's inane thinking by them once more. It just goes on.

….be in no doubt Dyche would walk down the M6 over broken glass to take charge of Everton if Bielsa talks fail. Hopefully neither are in the running.
They'll turn to Dyche if left with no signings by Tuesday. Seems Bielsa is playing a wait and see game, I wouldn't blame him or anyone else for doing so.
