Will standing next to the pitch booing the team help improve results? You'd think the effect could only be a negative one, as psychology is so important in football

Fans should be as supportive as possible - especially through difficult periods. Ultimately, the board will make the call re whether or not to keep on the manager, based on results, not what they hear from the fanbase, so fans should be relentlessly positive
Here we go blaming the fans. Couldn't make it up. These lads get paid a fortune.

Should they have clapped them off today, chief?

There are basic levels of effort, organisation, and discipline that we are not seeing, and that's week in week out.

Everyone recognises the difficult circumstances that any manager will face, the bar is actually quite low but we still seem to sink below it almost every time.

I would rather we were compact and organised and be dull and boring if it meant that we were drilled and hard to beat. You build from the back.

Silva is offering nothing at all.

We were playing a decent side today but they are not Barcelona. We looked cowed against them.

There is no progress and we look ever more fragile mentally, if that's possible.

Silva looks finished here and he doesn't seem to have anything like the force of personality and assuredness we need.

More and more, we require a big personality. Someone needs to dominate the squad and have the gravitas to demand respect and total effort.

I get the people saying don't sack him. We've sacked enough we don't wanna be the club that just sacks everyone but...

It's been six months and we're still conceding set peice goals every other game. Our last 4 goals conceded have been from free kicks. He can have all the time and any player in the world of He can't set his team up to defend basic free kicks 6 months into a job he shouldn't be managing at this level

Bin him

I don't rate or even like Silva but he can't be totally blamed for that. The cat in the pitch put more effort into it's performance and covered more ground then everyone we had on the pitch combined. We saw one cat in the pitch but we also saw 14 rats playing for us.....

Listen to this man. In a nutshell fella.

he's inherited players who are not only bad, but also some of the "better" ones who simply don't fit his system

that's not really his fault.... it will take 2-3 windows to be able to judge Silva's performance in my opinion

the set pieces is a deserved criticism, though
It's abysmal mate. Decisions, tactics, substitutions I could go on and on. No matter if this guy had the best in the world it wouldn't matter. He's inept. A jester of a manager.
