We shouldnt talk about sacking him until we might go down, which I dont think will happen, but Marco needs to fix this slide we’re in, and it needs to happen asap. What we saw yesterday was naive, and we got punished like a championship team. Woeful performance and planning.

Can't afford to sack him or we have to pay him 7.5m, were already looking at -15m for no European football and any signings made in Jan is also probably going to result in a negative net spend

Hopefully someone comes in for him. His tactics would someone like barcelona

Unlike your lot we dont have to sell to buy.

We can spend £100 million without selling someone

You had to sell Suarez and Coutinho

Have fun flogging Salah in the next 2 seasons

It’s a transitional season. He’s not a fraud, a joke, a disgrace, Martinez MK2, nor is he the saviour, he is somewhere in the middle of that.

I couldn’t imagine the sort of chaos it would create if some of you were trusted to make decisions on important things.

l'll take Martinez MkII in a heartbeat: three seasons here and a new best ever PL season and extended cup runs.

Yes please.

Maybe Everton just aren't for you mate? You seem deeply wounded by the fact we likely won't get Europe this season - why not go support Liverpool for a bit until we get better.
Thing is we dont want to get into Europe, ok if we can get 5th and get an easier run then maybe, but 8th and missing out is fine.

Its al about an FA Cup run now, get one of them and its a good transitional season, SIlva just have to show he is serious about it by going full strength

You guys go way OTT, four bad results and alarmed he's now a fraud. This place was glowing with optimism literally 21 days ago. Yep, three whole weeks and you absolute bedwetters are now crying. Grow up ffs and at least show some support.
Let’s see if you feel the same after the end of the New Years games.

Completely agree with the vast majority of this, the negative effect of the anfield result, the decent number of chances we're making against good teams, the fact he should be given time to turn things around.

My only real overriding problem is that I struggle to think of any good managers who have lost by 6 goals at home.

That game could easily have been managed to keep the score down but he made 2 attacking subs and an enforced change for gomez. The problems were clearly if defence and midfield. He has given himself a big job to resuscitate the players for the next match.

Silva had a shocker yesterday, no doubt about it. Going toe-to-toe with Spurs was madness but he could point to the fact about the referee and he can't exactly legislate for what Pickford did either, so he was quite unlucky in both respects. You're absolutely correct about the subs, we should have been more cautious after half time, 45 mins is a long time and we didn't need to go gung-ho straight after HT and risk conceding another, which is exactly what happened. We could have afforded to be more patient and bide our time and look for opportunities on the break.

All we can hope is that he has learned a great deal about the squad from these last 5 games. We are a good team, and should have more points on the board than we do, but he should have seen by now that we have a very soft core, especially in centre midfield when we start losing players. We need a striker too, we make chances but we just don't score enough goals, it's a real problem.

He’s very close to the Martinez failure as right now his side is yielding 1,33 point per game. Martinez last two season were 1,21 and 1,18. Hardly a massive improvement.

The most interesting thing is in the season we sacked Martinez he had 1,44 point per game in December after 18 games.

What is Silvas philosophy?

I was horrified a few weeks ago when he said `we only have one way of playing'. Then against Chelsea thankfully a bit of pragmatism
came in and we dug in for a solid point.

However, since then we have tried to beat Lpool/City and Totts at their own game but with inferior players. I simply don't understand this management style, it surely makes no rational sense, is naive, gets the natives on side for a while but inevitably poor results will follow..

Are we trying to press hard from up top and midfield? Because we don't have the players bar Gueye (injured) and Richarlison to do that.

What are our tactics at the back? Trying to keep a highish line (v dangerous with our desperate) lack of pace at the back. Then when Keane gets skinned for the first time in every game he wants the back 4 to drop way too deep.

After last seasons early mess and then base created by Alladyce then a gradual building of a passing/pressing game needed to go hand in hand with a solid defensive unit. Even if Alladyce was hounded out by 97% of evertonians, surely they were not naive enough to think a young manager with a `guardialo/Klopp' style could come in and get us challenging for top 4/5.
