8 left and 5 are against the top 6 sides. Maybe he would break Martínez’s worst PL home record at this rate.

Fine, hopefully we're in better form by then.

I'm not saying it's good. It isn't. We're playing badly and he's doing little to change it.

But we won't sack him. So this weird mentality of our NSNO LAD fans wanting him out after one window and five months is dead strange.

It’s horrible to admit it. But people need to drastically lower their expectations on us and where we actually are in the football world these days.

We have average to poor players, with an average manager and we are in an average league position with little hope of progression.

That’s where we are.

The problem is Ijjy - We've spent above average quantities of money on these players and manager

If we'd have spent wisely over the past 3 years, I firmly believe we'd be challenging for top 4 this season

We had one chance to make a dent in the league and we blew it - Which is why Steve Walsh and Koeman should be absolutely vilified on these pages - They've essentially ruined the short term (and maybe more) future of the club

But why is that the case? Could it be that he's started 10 games in 18 months for a team that barely creates anything? Say what you want about his attitude and everything else he's been mismanaged and we can only blame ourselves if he leaves and turns into something.

Allardyce mismanaged him, Koeman didn't and Silva hasn't but I think his head was turned by that spell in Germany because he hasn't really shown much in the chances he's been given

Rebuilding a squad takes 3-5 years and they've left us Gueye, maybe Pickford and Keane as useful players. So basically we are back at the start of the 3-5 year cycle just 3 years after starting one. They were stunningly incompetent and as you say we are going to feel the effects for a long while.

Have you just read that. Kane, comparing Napoli front 3 an putting lookman into it like he’s gonna break through an become a star. Never happening he’s another flash in the pan just like the likes of Bolaise, Babel, Traore, Elia they can run that’s it no end product or instinct match winning ability. Sad and desperate times when we think he will be a key player.

West Ham play Brighton tomorrow. Bournemouth play Watford.

The teams around us will drop points. We aren't going to move down or up, not by much anyway.

We need to improve - it's a big month coming up.

If it hasn't improved then of course the pressure will be on. And now it's also on Brands to deliver because this is when we need him to step up.

But he doesn't go anywhere. If we get to the end of the season and it's really proved too far, then he'll go. But we'll be back to square one.

3 of his signings (Digne, Gomes, Bernard) have been our best players this season. 1 (Zouma) has been arguably our best CB. Mina has been hit and miss. He’s been let down a lot by individuals either making stupid errors or just putting in substandard performances. I’m inclined to be patient with although our current form is a huge worry

Koeman and Silva absolutely have too. Koeman gave him 1 start a few sub appearances and then dropped him for the rest of the season as we played for nothing in the last few months. Silva has given him 1 start in a team that gets no production from it's wingers. I don't count 10 starts in 18 months as a proper chance much less chances.

He looks lost with his tactics and subs. 1 win in 8 is relegation form.

I will add in recent games his tactics have - by and large - been poor, but it's not like they've been poor all season.

That game today should have been a boring 0-0. A let down of a result no doubt and not good enough. One crap mistake and it's cost us.
