I respectfully disagree about the players. They are well above average, just seem to dumb themselves down when they sign for Everton. It’s horrible to admit it. But people need to drastically lower their expectations on us and where we actually are in the football world these days.
We have average to poor players, with an average manager and we are in an average league position with little hope of progression.
That’s where we are.
But why is that the case? Could it be that he's started 10 games in 18 months for a team that barely creates anything? Say what you want about his attitude and everything else he's been mismanaged and we can only blame ourselves if he leaves and turns into something.Lookman clearly doesn't want to be here, hence why he's 'injured'
We are eight points above Palace, who are themselves probably not even in the scrap...
Not really - he came into a side on the verge of relegation and then had about 24.54 found down the back of Bill’s couch to spend on players. How bad does it look on Moyes though that he's marginally better than 3 managers with only a third of the time combined and slightly worse than his first predecessor?
5 weeks ago it wasn't rosy.
We were in some semi good form and yet we had still dropped many points to teams we dispatched last season with simple organisation from the previous manager.
Silva has spent loads, revamped the team with seemingly quality additions and somehow we are actually in a worse positon than last season.
I'd say let Silva spend more money on the players we need but I see little to no point in doing so when he's showing us he can get nothing out of this current squad. His tactical nous is next to 0.
Then that is down tactics and poor coaching and not practicing enough within training. Pep will have his players practice drills over and over again, sometimes for days at a time till it becomes muscle memory and second nature, somehow i don't think we do that when it comes to stuff like finishing and passing, set pieces, throw ins, etc, etc. Silva just seems very lost at the moment but tbh i did'nt expect anything less, you only have to look at his career history and stats and what we see now is basically what he is capable of, it might work for now but longer term i don't think it's the answer.

Tim, we've played 11 home games in the league.
We've won five, drawn three and lost three.
Yes, it's crap at the moment that we've not won in four at home.
But that record isn't 'a disgrace'.
I know you love your hyperbole's, but bloody hell. Four away wins in the calendar year of 2018 is more of a 'disgraceful' stat, surely?

If in 3 games time we havent picked up at least a win or 2 and the other teams playing 4 games because of games in hand we could be a lot closer than we want or expect to be. A bit arrogant and complacent to dismiss it out of hand when we are on a run of 1 win in 8 games, that is nearly half of the current season!

It just takes that one break. For Spurs it was Harry Kane coming through the academy. Napoli had Cavani Lavezzi and Hamsik turn into a dynamite attack out of nowhere and haven't looked back. We need that special olayer or manager to spark it. That's why not giving Lookman a chance annoys me so much.
