Which is an utterly ludicrous thing to say though mate because we're five months into what is a huge task.

He's had one transfer window. We're currently 10th. We are four points off 7th. We are in no danger at all of getting relegated.

So why are you giving him four games, now, in January? Why? Why don't we just see if he can turn things around. Because this time five weeks ago all was rosy.

We get rid now, more fool on us.

Our home form is a disgrace. He has to turn it around.

5 weeks ago it wasn't rosy.

We were in some semi good form and yet we had still dropped many points to teams we dispatched last season with simple organisation from the previous manager.

Silva has spent loads, revamped the team with seemingly quality additions and somehow we are actually in a worse positon than last season.

I'd say let Silva spend more money on the players we need but I see little to no point in doing so when he's showing us he can get nothing out of this current squad. His tactical nous is next to 0.

That post doesn't make sense to me.
I forgot to insert the quote I was replying to....something about the gangland connection to Roscoe’s leaving. Marco sounded to have lost his marbles, but it’s a long bow to draw to get to Ross Barkley’s ill-advised tryst with some kopite supporting ma of a local hoodlum.

I just can’t see us doing it you know.
It just takes that one break. For Spurs it was Harry Kane coming through the academy. Napoli had Cavani Lavezzi and Hamsik turn into a dynamite attack out of nowhere and haven't looked back. We need that special olayer or manager to spark it. That's why not giving Lookman a chance annoys me so much.

It’s horrible to admit it. But people need to drastically lower their expectations on us and where we actually are in the football world these days.

We have average to poor players, with an average manager and we are in an average league position with little hope of progression.

That’s where we are.
absolutely

mediocre moshiri

mediocre marco

mediocre squad

mediocre stadium announcement

we are what we are..

mid table mediocrisy

But they are all capable - or should be - of scoring 5-10 goals per-season.

Walcott could - and easily should - have about 8 already. He's missed that many chances. Gylfi has 8. Richarlison has 9. Tosun should have more than he has had. Bernard's missed three or four sitters too.

We need a striker. But it wasn't the biggest need in the summer. It simply wasn't. Not one bit.
Then that is down tactics and poor coaching and not practicing enough within training. Pep will have his players practice drills over and over again, sometimes for days at a time till it becomes muscle memory and second nature, somehow i don't think we do that when it comes to stuff like finishing and passing, set pieces, throw ins, etc, etc. Silva just seems very lost at the moment but tbh i did'nt expect anything less, you only have to look at his career history and stats and what we see now is basically what he is capable of, it might work for now but longer term i don't think it's the answer.

Tim, we've played 11 home games in the league.

We've won five, drawn three and lost three.

Yes, it's crap at the moment that we've not won in four at home.

But that record isn't 'a disgrace'.

I know you love your hyperbole's, but bloody hell. Four away wins in the calendar year of 2018 is more of a 'disgraceful' stat, surely?

Yes tinpot leagues, would you be happy getting a successful manager from league 1? Also it does look like we are getting in trouble we are struggling to score and defend.
Awesome. Name a successful manager in the PL then that we should get?

Ponchettino had a 33% win % at Espanyol and a 38% one at Southampton, wow! What credentials!
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a 30% win % at Cardiff City. He had a 55% win at Molde. Are those better credentials than Silva?
Nuno Santos didn't do as well as Silva did in Portugal, not even close, but he did okay at Valencia before that...does he have better credentials than Silva?

Klopp and Sarri had no PL experience before they got to their current jobs. How on EARTH have they managed to hack it in England?!?!?!?!

Look, he has the credentials, he has plenty of experience as a manager, but the players aren't good enough.

Lookman clearly doesn't want to be here, hence why he's 'injured'

Eh???

How is Silva to blame for Walcott firing straight at the keeper. You can bet in training he slots those 9/10. It's got f all to do with training for christ sake.

City create so many chances that it doesn't matter that they miss, because they'll get another one five minutes later. We don't.

But bloody hell, blaming Silva for not getting in the mind of Walcott and making him slot. Wow.
