But it isn’t. Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd have regularly changed manager.

We don’t have to stick with a manager who isn’t good enough, just because we’ve sacked a few managers recently.

As I said yesterday, if we want to stop sacking managers, then stop hiring managers like Martinez and Silva who have Premier League relegations on their CV, with little other prestige to back-up any faith in them.

Sacking a manager 6 months into his contract, with us no where near relegation is insanity.

Similarly to players, if we don't have anything better, don't sack the manager. If we get the opportunity to get a better manager, then fine. Southampton obviously did this with Hughes. They talked to Hassenhuttl, then once they knew he would come they sacked Hughes.

If we could get a top manager then we should, but currently I don't see anyone chomping at the bit to come.

But our barometer for success is not how far we are from relegation, it is how close we are to Europe.

He doesn’t look like achieving that this season, therefore he has failed in his role as Everton manager.

TalkSport have had him all morning, he proper puts the boot into Silva and same time hypes himself up. Typical Fat Sam.

he does have a valid point at this moment in time. lets be honest

and I am in no way an advocate of sam Allardyce.

...i’m not suggesting he leaves, but he’s accountable now if the team looks tactically and physically void as it has at times lately.
It also means he's 'accountable' for the matches against Liverpool and Chelsea, where he was tactically spot on against two good teams.

We haven't had that for a while and we need to make sure he's backed with resources - because this downturn has been caused by lack of any ability to bench errant players like Pickford and rest good players over a hectic Christmas/new year period.

If he makes eight changes for Saturday it will show that he is a desperate manager willing to gamble with our chances of winning the FA Cup
If that gamble fails then he is finished as manager of Everton or any other PL club.

But it's not like it's changing eight players that are in form or fully fit, that's my point.

I've posted in the match thread for Lincoln what my ideal team would be - well, not ideal, but realistic - and that includes six changes...

None of the players that started yesterday have done enough to warrant a game. They all look knackered and aren't playing at their best. So making changes are a genuine necessity. It's not like we're playing well!
