I said before he was even appointed, you will get absolutely nowhere in this league without having a defensive base to go from.

his stats pointed to the fact that he concedes 2 per game in the prem, but this was seemingly totally over looked.

there is no way brands certified this appointment. if brands actually did ok his appointment then we are in real trouble.

Have you thought forwarding your CV to the club Frank, as not only are you a tactical expert, but also a master statistician and an expert in recruitment ?

But it's not like it's changing eight players that are in form or fully fit, that's my point.

I've posted in the match thread for Lincoln what my ideal team would be - well, not ideal, but realistic - and that includes six changes...

None of the players that started yesterday have done enough to warrant a game. They all look knackered and aren't playing at their best. So making changes are a genuine necessity. It's not like we're playing well!

Not strictly true.

Gueye was very good in the main, as was Zouma, who had to carry Keane for most of the game too.

Kenny did okay too, but the rest were pretty garbo.

Sam Allardyce blowing his own trumpet again...........surprise surprise. Allardyce the survivalist whose brand of football is obscene. Yes he will get a club safe but nothing else. Does he look to progress style ...no he doesn't. He just wants to survive and nothing else. What use is he to any team that is trying to progress....none at all. We now have a manager attempting to progress with forward thinking football.....is it working?...no....could it work?....yes. We are in a waiting game here and it is needed. Not one supporter with an iota of sense or love for football can honestly say Allardyce would be better for this club. He does management the simple way....defend like hell, hit the ball long and hope we get a break. No real footballing tactics in that. We might be better off by a point or 2 by playing that way but no real progression. We are in a place where we are attempting to play footy to be able to join the bigger clubs but we are not good enough yet to even break down the number of Allardyce tactic teams but those teams will continue to win some and lose some but not progress. I believe we are winning some and losing some but have the chance to progress. Unless we nose dive into relegation spots then Silva needs to continue and you can stick the Allardyce type clubs up your ar8e. We have to continue attempting to join the bigger clubs and not be content with mid table by playing ugly football. Everyone loves a trier which Allardyce ain't.

He's just upset he hasn't got a job this time of year

Yeh that's true, Gueye and Kenny played well and I'd have them both in on Saturday.

Then again, Gueye could be a bit defunct against a team that we have loads of the ball against, but our options in midfield other than that just don't seem good enough, unless we did Gylfi deeper - and then that leaves big gaping holes in the number 10 position or. if we play 4-4-2, a 20 yard gap between midfield and attack

Sacking a manager 6 months into his contract, with us no where near relegation is insanity.
If we loose against Lincoln and Bornemouth ( very very big on the cards) he will get the sack! He's 2 games away from the sack. Spending nearly 80 million in the summer and being worth of then last season doesnt mean transition it means relegation form. Do really believe Moshiri will wait another 2 month before firing him?

The Burnley result has saved him for now !!

Allardyce saying "Everton can't expect anything other than mediocrity as they're currently a mediocre club" will anger some. Says we can't live on past glory and to stop thinking we're a big club. Nice one Sam.

Just listened to that.

He just can`t let go of the fact that he got sacked can he !!!

He will only be at risk of sacking if we are dragged into relegation this season and I don't believe we will.
Around next Christmas he will be vunerable if we are not showing anything

I say we give Silva until Christmas, so he's got the rest of this season, a full pre-season, and 2 transfer windows to show a decent improvement. I think that's fair.

I'm not his biggest fan if I'm honest and I'm sceptical whether a man that can't get the players he currently has to perform against the likes of Huddersfield at Goodison really has what it takes, but whilst we aren't in immediate danger of going down it makes more sense to give him the time to fix a problem that's been brewing for years.

Very bitter man isn't he. Shame he didn't get banged up when he was in Dubai, or at least have his tongue cut out.

He can`t wait to get the digs in - " Koeman and Martinez all played so called nicer football than me and they got the sack too "

He`s almost become Talksports resident Everton expert, yet just talks about how hard done to he was and how his brand of footy was the right way to go.

Needs to shut up.

But still until now you cant say he is wrong. Everything is mediocre. The football served up, the players hiding on the pitch, still having the likes of Keane Wallcot Coleman DCL in the team. Not being able to buy players with physical strenght and a winning mentality. Buying 2 and 3 rate footballers to first rate prices. No game plan no plan B. No coaching during the game (Tottenham cuttin through us like butter but no reaction from the coach).
