Id be pretty upset if I did a good job and got sacked knowing the incoming manager has just about none of my credentials.

If silva had come in when Alladyce did last season with his `we play one way' philosophy lol we very realistically could have gone down.

With 100m to spend in the summer and some loans does anyone seriously think BFS would not have bought fast, attack based players and centre forwards.

The mind boggles. HE had to get us organised defensively to stay up. This seasons job would have been to improve our defence further and make attacking aquisitions that would have allowed us to have more possession and/or serious pace/movement so we became a counter attacking team. We would have graduall built on 8th place to challenge around 5/6th.

Instead we are nowhere, We have gone backwards defensively, not moving the ball effectively or prettily and lack any sort of goal threat unless the ball falls to the feet of Gylfi/Richarl close to goal.

No matter how you dress it up Silva has not improved any aspect of our club bar possession stats.

I think results will pick up naturally just because we have some decent players but that could well see us finish 8/9th and blinker us to Silvas shortcomings in every aspect of management.

I have not seen him able to motivate a team after a poor result, change tactically to good effect in any game or use substitutions well. Pickford, Coleman, Walcott, Toshun nd Davies have all gone backwards under him. Only DCL and to a monor extent Keane (give me stength) have improved. Whatever `press' style he uses is a mystery to me.

Its telling that even the BFS haters admit we would have more points this season under him and that those who think he is a good manager think he would have substantially more points and progressing the club forward not backwards.

How do you know fat sam would have more points. I think we'd be a couple fewer.

You do know Sam only aims for about 13th so he can make it look like we are a crap team who could easily have gone down, but for his miraculous escape act.

Jesus christ...

If we never have any patience in any manager then what's the point? Times have changed yada yada but if Man Utd never persevered with Ferguson they'd have never been as successful as they were. (not comparing Silva to Ferguson, obviously)

Success never has been and never will be instant. If managers keep coming and going there'll will eventually be none left to take the role.

Anyhow I blame it all on @Steve0 and his relentless rantings about Liverpool going to fail etc etc. He is a jinx and putting a curse on us.

Wrong.

It was Allardyce`s last chance to prove that he wasn`t a footballing dinosaur.

All he had to do was get us to a point of safety and then start playing proper footy again, which he didn`t.

When the fans quite rightly started calling him out on this, he responded by trolling them.

He`s a legacy of the past, that`s best left there.

why has everything got to relate back to them, no one cares about them

can't blame the fixtures for how bad weve been recently, so many excuses
I was referring to the spawn because nobody should forget the easy ride they've been given by the script writers.

For us, fixtures do play a part. Last season's start down to having all those top teams so early on, and this year simply fatigue.

In truth I'm not happy with the bad run of form since the derby either. However we simply cannot ditch yet another manager and get that ridiculous reputation. I thought most agreed Silva would be 'given' this season, by the fans, for rebuilding.

Footballers such as Richarlison and Gomes wouldn’t be at the club if it wasn’t for their relationship with silva. You can argue whether Silva is getting the best out of both, but neither would be here if allardyce was still manager.

SEAN DYCHE IN

TBF to big fat Sam, when he did have a better calibre of player at Bolton he actually did very well.

Okacha, Djorkaeff and co were a pretty decent side.

I’m not saying he was the way forward, I’m just saying that he might have got a tune out of a better calibre of player as he has done it previously.

It's difficult to gauge that when he played cowards football last season even after we passed 40 points.
