conceded far too many this season where an opponent is left with the ball 6 yds out with Pickford glued to his line and no full backs on the posts.
Other teams have targeted it for months now , until it is sorted we will continue to concede.
I really hope this gets sorted , as I see it as a downfall ( with the lack of a striker) that could cost Silva his job.
I'd hate to see everything ripped up and another manager come in.

The thing is, most teams use zonal marking in some form or another and we actually use a combination of zonal and man marking if you watch us defend (well try to defend) Our problem is how the players are setting up within the system, small players like Digne, Baines man marking huge 6 footers and our big guys like Zouma and Mina standing waiting in the middle. It's something that will only get sorted on the training ground with practice, unless we suddenly start signing a load of giants

Mina , Keane & Zouma win almost every ball in the air played into our box.
That is not the problem ( in any system) , its the total lapse in concentration from the "second ball" from all of our players.
Teams are exploiting this in every game.
Needs sorting very quickly.

Teams are also "crowding"Pickford from corners/set pieces too, they've all got onto this Lincoln included.
 

I hope Silva uses Fat Head’s comments as a personal motivation to do better.

He had us all behind him after he appeared to weather the early season storm and now he has us back to being as bad as the dark days of last season.

7th is still there for the taking and that is an absolute must finishing place for him. That is a solid building block, if he can get us playing to a higher standard.

Massive game for him, and the club, on Sunday.
