His career overall. Certainly not only his time at Hull and Watford.

He can win the FA Cup and got us to 7th then something has changed.

Well I don’t think half a season at Hull and Watford can show you he hasn’t got it in him to improve over 2-3 seasons.

That's not the point mate.

That was exactly the point! Silva knew that Martinez and Koeman had each been given time and the club didn't pull the plug at the first sign of trouble, that's important if you want someone to take interests in the long term best interests of the club rather than what may boost the immediate results at the expense of the team in the long run?

He’s a low tiar manager and a gamble, yet again like Martinez. Up to this moment, he fails to show it at Everton unless something dramatically changed before May and I will be glad because that’s mean Everton get something to build on for next season.

I'd rather his first season be underwhelming and imrove in the following ones, than a single decent first season preceding absolute calamity like our last 2 long term managers.
How about starting off well but then losing the plot halfway through the season and looking like a BFS team devoid of ideas or confidence?

think we would all take that

however, if he does have a underwhelming first season what gives you the indication the second and third will be any better?

this season could still go either way, few wins in the league and were back top 7-8 again and a good cup run will help, alternatively we have tough games in the league and we could get tonked and we could beat millwall and draw city away in the cup and have a terrible season

still want us to give him a few more transfer windows to get his own team like but as ive said before, he should be doing far better with the team he has

Why are we trying to emulate Klopp? Have they won something I missed?

Although not winning anything, I'm sure we'd like to finish top 4 with a good run in the CL. Regardless of what they haven't won, they seem to approach stuff with a winning attitude. Also, their dealings in the transfer market seems to be better than ours....

Again that wasn't the point.

Poch was a mumbler for a long time mate. We berated Martinez for all his positive nonsense when things weren't going well, now some taking exception to him remaining subdued in the same scenario.

Let's back him. He's here until the Summer at least.

Weve had a long string of managers that are crap in pressers. Id of love a manager to be just totally unhinged and speak his mind for better and for worse. Just stick other managers out of it. Say that we have been crap in no uncertain terms. Maybe crack a controversial joke but gets away with it cause it's funny. Say something outlandish like of it don't get us a cup or champions league in 3 or 4 years he I'll spare us and walk away without a payyoff. Everyou time he opens his mouth he makes ye think. Calls bfs a Dynocrisis2... If he doesn't back it up on field in the end which our managers have not been doing anyway. So be it.

So you want Ian Holloway then?
