He's never looked that ecstatic at press conferences but he used to be a bit more upbeat. It used to be I'm sure the away form will pick up and it was just a product of playing the top sides...now he knows the truth I'm waiting for Maverick and Goose to burst in and sing him a rendition of 'You've lost that loving feeling'.

Wow

Mate. Bad news. Goose is dead. Take a minute. I cried too.

That was just a government cover-up to give him a new identity so he could start a new life elsewhere before Meg Ryan's lips got way out of hand. Don't feel too bad though he is still flying, last I heard he was doing the Nantes to Cardiff route in his little piper...ahh crap...you are right then, just Maverick doing a solo.

That's just woke me up to the fact that we are currently level on points with Bournemouth.

I too used to laugh and roll my eyes at the suggestions of Eddie Howe to manage Everton but if he's level on points with Marco Silva managing an Everton team that's had about 300 million quid spent on it in the past 3 years then not only does that actually absolutely terrify me but makes me think he can't be worse than Silva.

Nice one Everton, I think I need a cold shower now.

Oh, and that last line is a killer as well.
Intersting comparison btwn Silva and Howe.
Reckon the jury is definitely out on whether Howe's tactics, that have developed and served Howe right from the bottom of the football league to mid table prem can translate into anything higher.

But what a great manager. From taking over Bourmouth in 2009 under threat over relaegation out of the football league altogether to getting all the way to where they are now is amazing (albeit with brief Burnley departure).
At the end of the day you got to have more respect for a manager that does this.

Steve Fletcher talking in the Guardian a few months back -
“Eddie won’t just go out to buy a player,” Fletcher says. “He always says to never ignore what’s under your nose. Steve Cook is a prime example. There’s Adam Smith, Charlie Daniels, Harry Arter, Marc Pugh, Ryan Fraser, Callum Wilson, David Brooks …
“There are about seven or eight who have come up with us. Some of those players were with us when we were in League One and Eddie came back for his second spell in 2012. I was still playing. He probably gets the most satisfaction from seeing these players fulfil their potential. It’s a testament to the time and belief the manager and the coaching department have given these players."

Sure, he knows Bournmouth inside out as a player and longserving manager and this must be to his advantage in handling everything.
But it does give pause to think what he could do with the players at FF.

There's no comparision really, Howe is better manager than Silva.

Weve had a long string of managers that are crap in pressers. Id of love a manager to be just totally unhinged and speak his mind for better and for worse. Just stick other managers out of it. Say that we have been crap in no uncertain terms. Maybe crack a controversial joke but gets away with it cause it's funny. Say something outlandish like of it don't get us a cup or champions league in 3 or 4 years he I'll spare us and walk away without a payyoff. Everyou time he opens his mouth he makes ye think. Calls bfs a Dynocrisis2... If he doesn't back it up on field in the end which our managers have not been doing anyway. So be it.
