We need to stop the kneejerk reactions. It would be all too easy to sack Silva and bring in a caretaker manager. Then in the summer bring in someone else but what happens when they inevitably have a bad run. Do we get shut and continue to tailspin. The sad reality is that we should finish between 7th and 12th and not win a cup.

The top 6 have far more money than us. Far better squads and have had years to build their Clubs up. We stagnated under Bill and are playing catch up. The only way we will catch those ahead if us is to have stability and to be smarter than the clubs above us. That is not as exciting as the rush that sacking a manager and hoping for a miracle brings but it is far more pragmatic and realistic.

Brands and Silva have only been here 5 minutes and we shouldn't expect miracles. Give them the rest of this season and then next season and then see where we are.

Hardly knee jerk when we have been watching inadequate defending all year...

Seen nothing yet to convince me Silva can make any progress...

But I am prepared to give him more time...

But come on zonal marking, set pieces, the same formation no change...

Have previously advocated sticking with him but finding it difficult to defend him now. Found him intolerably irritating standing on the sides with his hands behind his back and just looking so lost. Desperately uninspiring.

For there 2nd and3rd goals millwall had players on our six yard box and there wasn't an Everton player within 2/3yards of them that is schoolboy defending at its worst but the most worring thing of all is that it's not the first time this season silva cannot keep making the same mistake again and again. That defending was spineless and clueless am going to bed the gang of shithouses

Ironically zonal marking would have worked here as we would have won the second ball. Instead 3 of our back 4 had a brain fart and all went for the same ball

It's a very worrying situation right now. This club is an absolute shambles.I really hope Silva turns it around. But i do get the impression, that the job is too big for him.We are floundering, and he has to show now, that he can turn it around. If this rot continues on for the rest of the season, then Silvas days here are numbered.
