Dyche effectively finished above Silva last season. 🤷‍♂️
I don't know why we do this. We've got active threads about Silva and Moyes. I'm sure other clubs don't pine after their old managers like we do. We do it with players too. It's like, as a fanbase, that we're stuck in the past. I want rid of Dyche, and I know this is a radical idea, but I'd replace him with someone who hasn't managed the club before, who hasn't played for the club, just is qualified to manage a team in our position.

the pressure of the fans mate

Not entirely. The Athletic did an article when Brands and Mosh rocked up to training for a showdown with Brands reluctant to fire him. Silva apparently folded and didn't defend himself well, so Mosh gave him the boot.

Before he came to us, his track record was always ever 14 months max at a club. Fulham has been out of the norm for him.

he’s done good and maybe if we stook by him?

Wasn't the problem at the end of his tenure what we have struggled with since? We can't chase matches.

It was a major problem that the club failed to sign Zouma permanently or to sign another central defender with pace. Silva wanted to play with high press and defend with a high line. Things looked OK when ahead in matches, but when behind the team really went for it and threw too many in attack. Leaving Keane and Mina on the midfield line without any form of protection.

First match after Silva was let go Holgate was in the central defense and ended up being voted player of the season by the players. Not necessarily for being brilliant, but he gave some much needed security to the defense with his pace. It is crazy how much better defenders such as Mina, Keane, Coady and Tarkowski play with a quick partner.

It seems like Silva has learned from that period. His Fulham team seems both more patient and balanced.

He's a talented manager.

However I think he'd accepted he was a bit impulsive at that stage of his career. Watford was probably a decent fit for him like Fulham is now but had his head turned.

Decent first season and then it all went wrong after the mass splurge on Richarlison, Kean and Iwobi. Some really shocking results when you look back, 2-0 losses to all three promoted teams (Villa and home losses to Sheffield United and Norwich).

Fulham was a good career move as lower expectations and he's built a very solid unit. Been there four seasons and I'm sure he's had offers to leave but realises he needs stability at this stage. Could certainly see him managing a decent Italian or Spanish team in the future, there were some rumours he was on Man. United's shortlist aswell but might've just been agent talk.

was a good manager, struggled after the last second RS goal, but eventually pulled it back. Another manager who came in the club as a 4-3-3 manager but player 4-5-1 which seems to be one of the new Everton philosophy

Must have PL Experience
Must play 4-5-1
If you lose blame the fans
