But if he relegates Hull (not his fault), quits Watford, and does poorly at Everton, good luck finding another English job.

Because i don't know a single person stupid enough to have put a bet on Unsworth getting the job after 3 straight losses mate.
Betting odds reflect one thing in case you didn't know, and it's nothing to do with the likelihood of something happening, it's to do with what punters who by and large are utterly clueless are putting money on, if some utter loon stuck 25 grand on Graeme Souness as the next Everton manager - he would go odds on at the bookies.
By all means though - your that sure about it, sure you've stuck lots of money on him mate

my logic, which clearly escaped you was that if Unsworth was a complete no go, the club would be forced to source an immediately available candidate. Assuming the likes of Tuchel and Ancelloti jibbed us off (they have) then it came down to Allardyce or Moyes and Allardyce was more likely.

I got Sam at 7/1 and moyes at 25/1. I actually fancied moyes would be offered the job to be fair. I still I think he would be the best available for us. Unfortunately most of our fan base seem to forget how well he did here on a very small budget and just remember his last 3 jobs which were all extremely difficult and he didn't have adequate time in.
Just think back to when we finished 5th twice and got to the fa cup final. That really was the heights for a team with our budget at that time. Imagine if moyes was given the money to build on that. But no forget moyes say most of you. Let get tuchel who has done.... pretty much nothing special as a manager. He just sounds like a nice name doesn't he
