Type of play I reckon, nothing to do with their background but more how they setup and play the game
Fair point not sure about his defensive record although the Chelsea & our game don't paint a positive. Although we aren't quite beggars we do need to be realistic & even his potential appointment is looking doubtful.

Dont know if it's been mentioned but WRD on TEF has said Silva 100% name is forward ( presumes that means in the frame?)

The main issue I have with the type of football both him and Martinez like to play is the personnel.

Bobbys failure was trying to convert bang average players into Barca, the open expansive football left gaping holes all over the team and the frailties were never addressed. Plus once teams learned how we played they just sat back in banks and the football was on par with what we’ve seen this year.

Silva likes to have 2 holding midfielders who then burst pass the no 10 and find the holes by the forward, massively leaving them open to the counter. Now a good high line and fast centre backs could counter the counter by pressing immediately, but our defence turns slower than the titanic, both jags and Keane were turned with relative ease on Sunday, with one leading to a goal and the other a guilty edge chance missed.

It’s a major concern when I try to imagine his setup with our squad.

Why though mate?
He won some pot in his career and he's still relatively young coach. Guess you'll never know how it's going to work out. Pochetino was hardly a world beater before Spurs. Hiring Sam or Dyche screams mediocrity to me. They won't fire us up.

Right I’ll be honest - I’ve ignore Silva for the most part, but someone from Team Silva sell him to me, am firmly in team Tuchel but that might be the biggest wet dream I’ll have...

Go!

He's far from ideal but still I would risk rather than pick the safe option in Dyche or Allardyce. Hiring one of them would be a wrong message to the players and fans.

Silva did a great job at Hull and almost did what seemed like an impossible job of keeping them from the job. I'd be really happy if we got Silva.

The biggest con I see is his defensive record. They conceded 6 against City, 4 against Chelsea and 3 against us. With our defence it could be a fun ride.

The Entertainers would be back though :D
