Forget gardening leave and being reported for tapping up. It's all about that ----> £££££££

Offer enough and its done.

An Italian businessman walking away from cash.

Lol.

But ok....
How much is enough Dave? £15m? £20m? It might have to be ridiculous money to get them to even think about it. Only my opinion, but they're making a stance because we've upset the apple cart.

Well personally I dont see a way around this, but tomorrow is another day, so lets see what that brings.

We have 3 games in the next 10 days, 1 of which doesnt even matter, but as I say, lets see what tomorrow brings us.

I mean directly asking Watford over and over again after they've said no. And we clearly would have to ask them directly.

'Contract Dave' calls 'Contract Jeremy' and says "can we have your manager, we'll pay you £1mill"? 'Contract Jeremy' says "No".
repeat daily with £1mill increments and it's still not tapping up, as the manager hasn't been approached.

I think it's exactly that mate. fwiw I'm more than happy Silva has been a target as he's someone I think is worth taking a punt on. But for whatever reason he can't or won't come then there should be another manager of quality waiting in the wings and I don't think they've got a clue who to go for next and will give it to Unsworth who will be then facing a losing battle because he must know he is at the bottom of the pile for choices otherwise he would have been given it ( at least to the end of the season which makes me think there is no top manager either approached for next season or who wants to come next season ).
My worry in all of this is if we can't land a quality manager now we panic and end up with someone like Dyche. If we really want Silva and there's no one better till the summer then best to give it to Unsworth for rest of season and then go for Silva. If things really go to pot then we can start panicking. In the meantime let's keep our cool ;)

Move on to unsworth as that what will happen if we don't land this guy and I do NOT want that.
Yes, Unsworth for me is the nightmare scenario, I personally would have little qualms in going for Dyche unlike others here, I would try for Silva and do everything possible but we can't wait as Unsworth is not worth thinking about.

Posters saying wait until summer and we'll have a better chance with better managers are highly optimistic imo.

I think our best chance with better managers is probably now (hardly any chance at all) and six months under Unsworth may very well make who we can even target now beyond us.

Right that's it I want Silva as he beat the RS last season With Hull bloody city. Imagine what he could do with this squad with the likes of Calvert Lewin and Niasse.

Giving it to unsworth is panic mate.

That's why mate we need to either do it ( get silva ) and not drag it on or pull a rabbit out the hat. None of them < and I'm worried very very worried
Worried myself too. Defence is a shambles. Even Koeman and Unsworth (both defenders) not able to stem the flow of goals conceded. Thats a recipe for trouble. Agree it needs sorting, but for the life of me I don't know who the 'saviour' will be.
