I mean directly asking Watford over and over again after they've said no. And we clearly would have to ask them directly.

Did we not go through a similar process with Stones and Chelsea as I recall?
How much is enough Dave? £15m? £20m? It might have to be ridiculous money to get them to even think about it. Only my opinion, but they're making a stance because we've upset the apple cart.Forget gardening leave and being reported for tapping up. It's all about that ----> £££££££
Offer enough and its done.
An Italian businessman walking away from cash.
Lol.
But ok....

My worry in all of this is if we can't land a quality manager now we panic and end up with someone like Dyche. If we really want Silva and there's no one better till the summer then best to give it to Unsworth for rest of season and then go for Silva. If things really go to pot then we can start panicking. In the meantime let's keep our coolI think it's exactly that mate. fwiw I'm more than happy Silva has been a target as he's someone I think is worth taking a punt on. But for whatever reason he can't or won't come then there should be another manager of quality waiting in the wings and I don't think they've got a clue who to go for next and will give it to Unsworth who will be then facing a losing battle because he must know he is at the bottom of the pile for choices otherwise he would have been given it ( at least to the end of the season which makes me think there is no top manager either approached for next season or who wants to come next season ).
Yes, Unsworth for me is the nightmare scenario, I personally would have little qualms in going for Dyche unlike others here, I would try for Silva and do everything possible but we can't wait as Unsworth is not worth thinking about.Move on to unsworth as that what will happen if we don't land this guy and I do NOT want that.
Inclined to agree as I don't think Unsworth is ready. But this Silva thing is getting messy. The whole thing is a mess. Its virtually a month since Koeman was sacked.Move on to unsworth as that what will happen if we don't land this guy and I do NOT want that.
Yes. And to an extent Baines and Man United.Did we not go through a similar process with Stones and Chelsea as I recall?

Worried myself too. Defence is a shambles. Even Koeman and Unsworth (both defenders) not able to stem the flow of goals conceded. Thats a recipe for trouble. Agree it needs sorting, but for the life of me I don't know who the 'saviour' will be.That's why mate we need to either do it ( get silva ) and not drag it on or pull a rabbit out the hat. None of them < and I'm worried very very worried
