I suspect he'll stay respectful until he realises he isn't getting his own way and then we may see a different side to him.

On a different note, what's your favourite Everton moment of all time mate? I'm not sure what age you are so that might determine the answer but just intrigued by newcomers.

Beating United on penalties in the cup semi-final. I know it came to nothing in the final, but it was when United were *the* team. That was my favourite moment that I witnessed in person. As an aside, I also took comfort that Everton got to wear blue and Chelsea had to wear their away kit in the final ;)

hopefully it's all being kept quiet to avoid distraction on the pitch for the players, them cowards don't really need another excuse to underperform

whether that be silva or someone else, we really do need a proper manager in asap

Not so much an ITK, more someone who knows that ambition will take a manager away from a never-won-anything-and-never-likely-to-win-anything club to the 4th most successful English club of all time for better wages and a massive transfer kitty.

It isn't rocket science.
We attracted Mazzarri after he’d managed Inter Milan and Napoli. We attracted QSF after he’d been at Atletico Madrid and won the Europa League. Now they are actual big clubs and they still lowered themselves to our puny, no-mark standards. So I’d say our standing in the game is fine amongst knowledgable people of the game. However you like to dress it up and talk about history, right now you are as far away from winning anything as us.

At university, I was a student of Russian History and Politics and Everton often reminds me of Kremlinology. The Americans created a whole academic sub-division with experts and specialists largely paid to speculate on very little indeed, and more often than not what was not said rather than what was. Some of those folks would have felt very much at home analysing the comings and goings in the Finch Farm car park.

You could go a lot worse into understanding Evertons board as the Politburu. Desperately holding to traditions in an ever changing world they struggle to keep up with, alongside a deep distrust of any impartial commentators.

Bit lame isn’t it really. Signing up to another fans forum to gloat about us not being able to take your manager (yet).
Your club is an irrelevance, probably the most forgettable in the history of top flight football.
Us trying to take your manager is probably the most press you’ve had in 30 years.
He's gonna look really stupid if we get Silva lol what he's doing is kinda futile really. Stage of grief I reckon, denial, has to come on here to tell us it's not happening to convince and comfort himself and to attempt to convince himself that Watford are on par with us somehow

It's an awkward situation. We won't want Silva to resign because Watford will reject his resignation and might put him on gardening leave. They will then report us to the Premier League for tapping up and, if feeling vindictive, take us to court for inducing him to break his contract, as Middlesbrough did to Liverpool some years ago. That was settled out of court.
