Getting desperate? Realising all your predictions haven’t come to fruition yet? How about another 24hrs? With the greatest of respect, at least other people on here give valid thoughts and opinion - most of yours have just been wildly inaccurate claims that have all come and gone without success.

Everyone ready for another day of no business?!
Stick a fork in this feller, he's done.

A quality coach already working is rarely going to abandon a club mid season unless it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Moreover, Watford are doing well which suggests Silva would be less likely to leave during the season to turn around another club - particularly when you consider what happened at Hull
Hola amigo! Really pleased to see bottom feeder clubs knowledge in your lexicon. Such searing insight across all levels of the game is a sign of your humility despite it being a big Champos Liga day.

I hope the ghost gone Franco crush your very soul in this Catalan trouble right now.

Sorry, for a moment there I made the mistake of assuming you had any connection to Barcelona other than a glory hunting sugar headed condescending self adoring pisspig.

Personally really rate and like Tuchel mate, but honestly he is also a bit of a FotM as well, his record doesn't stand up to the others you mentioned for example.

The likes of Ancelotti, Simeone etc are very very proven managers, Tuchel and Silva to differing degrees are about potential (both have quite a unique way of coaching/tactics as well whichy stands them out from the crown so to speak)

I'm not trying to do Silva down but I agree. I suppose my point was, come the summer with Everton potentially having 200+ million burning a whole and a whole summer to sort out the mess we are a much more attractive prospect. Silva faces far more competition, and while he's the standout choice now it may well not be the case in the summer. I think that's why he's pushing for a move now.

Football fans are fickle. Imagine the Watford season follows last years trajectory (Mazzari had the same point, and though I haven't checked imagine Flores would have been close after 12 games) and they end up with 40-45 points between 13-17th. I can't imagine many Evertonians desperate for him.

Likewise if he resigns and takes gardening leave, he will fall out of people's minds. Maybe Moshiri is a man of his word, but do you think, if Simeone gave him the nod he wouldn't go back on himself?

It's tricky. Normally I'd say Watford budge. But then 10 million is a great offer. Maybe they are dragging their heels. Maybe the 13 million they've agreed to accept and kept it very quiet?

To be fair I think it comes from people seeing with their own eyes that he has refused to distance himself from Everton on 2 or 3 occasions so far. He could have turned this into a non-story easily and it would have been in his best interest to do so to cause as little distraction to his current role as possible, but he hasn't done that.

If I was in a job where i had the ability to end all the speculation, plus the potential unrest that it could cause in my current role, then i'd make a simple statement and put it to bed.

It’s an odd one. No doubt he’s interested. The question is whether or not he rocks the boat on this one. My thinking is he is reluctant to do that.

Should this come off, would you be happy with it Dave?

I'd be delighted, but I do have my doubts. I do find it strange if we haven't given Dyche some serious thought, though.
I'm neutral on it. I can see the upside, but equally I can see the sense of allowing Unsworth to get us through the next 6 months and allow us the summer to get a decent manager in who maybe has a better pedigree than Silva.

If only he'd acknowledged the apology this could have all been avoided.

Yes mate because what you pay for players has absolutely zero to do with what value a manager has, for example if a manager 'say for example' Koeman doesn't work out, you end up having to pay off his contract - so for us that cost 10m, now take a player - say Cleverley - he was absolutely a busted flush for us - we sold him for 8m profit.

there in itself is a 18m difference between what getting shut of a manager and player cost the club.

As for 15m being nothing - it depends mate, how many players have you ever sold for that amount or over in your clubs history, or bought for that amount in fact?

I'm guessing maybe 1 of each, in which case it looks incredibly stupid to think that 15m for your club is insignificant - else you'd be spending those types of fees and receiving them on a regular basis.

15m for a manager would be a world record fee - breaking a record that Chelsea have held for around 8 years or so, 15m for a manager who effectively can resign from the club at any point he wishes - leaving at best the club paying his wages for no service in order to stop him working is good business sense.

Managers and lots of your fans seem to struggle with this, aren't players, and trying to apply 'value' to them corresponding with a player is utter lunacy

Manchester United, one of the best managers in the world, who has 4 years on a deal is being quoted at 30 million. That gives you some idea of where 15 million as an offer stands. It may not be the figure they want, but for a lad with a release clause in 6 months is a long way from nothing.

I suspect he'll stay respectful until he realises he isn't getting his own way and then we may see a different side to him.

On a different note, what's your favourite Everton moment of all time mate? I'm not sure what age you are so that might determine the answer but just intrigued by newcomers.
