Watford have permanent managers with 2 year contracts (at least)... regardless if they sack them or not, when signing the player they have an assumption the manager could be there for the 2 years, not 5/10 games.

Chelsea is a slightly different beast, on every level to be honest mate am pretty shocked you would even include them in any argument. League winners, challenging for the league every year (nearly), champions league, high wages, London, playing with world class players... do I need to go on? its VERY clear why players would sign for them even if their manager situation fluctuates.

Same for us...players join for a reason, be that money or playing at a higher level.

Its all relative.

Benitez relagated his side and EFC beat his team.
Are you suggesting that he is equally a bad manager and should never be considered because of this?
He ain't coming anyway talk about nonsense he relegated a side - then our last win was against his side who were 2-0 up its a poor do imo is he worth it???

Yes, it's looking more like then ever, I've spoken to a friend who is VERY ITK, and he's informed me that Silva is in the process of purchasing a house near Liverpool - at present he's still waiting for all this to go through which is why he's delaying his departure.

Because of course you would purchase a house before finalising your contract.

I don't think he was being serious mate, I guess some are just so desperate to latch onto some tiny hope that it's not dead though that they'll take that out of context and assume it's still happening.

I don't blame Watford for playing hardball, who wants to lose a manager at this stage of the season? If they went into fretful no amount of compensation would justify letting him walk, despite the fact he allegedly wants to make the move.

Now if that said, "he's booked into a boss hotel in town and is sorting out a few brasses" rather than looking at buying a house.. I'd believe it.

Haha I don't know who is being serious or to believe mate.
