There were strong rumours that the Watford Directors were approached at the match that day. They may have only sounded Sam out and found he wanted too long. Dyche has not bee contacted as no gossip. I think only Silva approached and Diego was just a line in the water

There was a tweet from a very well respected source saying we were planning to speak with Dyche. I firmly believe we did but then didn't pursue things.

Of course you don't have to offer the job to everybody you speak to.

100% mate, I would literally thrown anything he wants at him... tbh, I genuinely mean this, it wouldn't surprise me if this incompetent board hadn't even spoken to him you know... I honestly have no confidence that they would even realise he is available.

I'd personally rather go after Tuchel and offer him the 10m as a signing on bonus. But I don't think paying big compensation should be a reason not to appoint a manager. In an era of extortionate fees for players then managers should be equally as expensive if not more.

But the point is that there are proven big name managers out there that would could get, funny enough, cheaper.

Paying Watford £10mill and Silva £3mill a year...surely it's better to go to Ancelloti and go "hows £10mill a year sound bud?"
