Anyone else not wholly convinced by this guy? Is the only reason we are desperately chasing after him because there's nobody else available?

There must be somebody else available? Surely

There are absolutely loads of managers out there, our board just haven't the slightest clue of anything outside the PL

If we can try for Silva we can try for the likes of Quique Setien, but we won't

Don't quite agree. Managers will switch clubs to advance their career at any time they can, same as a player would. Especially if you're at a club like Watford who hire and fire every five minutes. A managers career could be over in six months at the top levels, so they rightly capitalise when they can.

The problem is actually your first points - I think any manager with a brain would look at Everton, note Moshiri's antics with Jim White, look at our transfer activity properly and conclude that the whole 'project' here is a complete and total sham.

Heh, you're correct of course. But I was speaking in an exaggerated manner as many Evertonians (or a lot of other footie fan would) if a highly regarded manager left their club, especially mid season. Utter utter terrible ferrets.

I doubt very much that with the wages being offered many people would jib us off. Perhaps the likes of Tuchel, Simeone yes...but no way would Dyche, Sam or Silva turn us down...in the case of Silva it appears he's interested but Watford are fighting to keep hold

Big Sam has publically called us uncommitted lovers. We flirted but we didn't commit. He's spurned our advances like a high maintenance filly who wants all the attention going.

Bah. The big sexy temptress.

Yes.
I'm resigned to nowt happening in the foreseeable regarding getting a permanent appointed sorted.
It's Unsworth now for the rest of the season with a remit to get to 40 points, hopefully well before the last fixture.
Best of luck David, and for the rest of us, hold on tight!

I don't think we'll ever get a manager again mate, knackered aren't we.

EXACTLY.

For all there's this talk of a chasm between Kenwright and Moshiri, with Kenwright wanting safe, English appointments and Moshiri wanting an exotic 'name' manager - our sense of footballing exoticism still extends, barring one desperately fanciful mention of Simeone, to pinching a manager away from Watford.

WRD from TEF saying that Watford aren't even entertaining us in the slightest....

Lets not have another Gylfi situation over the effing manager Everton...

This really is an utter shambles - I really wish that it was all a smoke screen for my man Tommy Tuchel... but its not is it, Everton don't like to give nice things to us.

We're ran by a bunch of idiots who couldn't spell the word 'contingency' or 'planning' - it's amateur hour, something kenwright has specialized in since the days of nyarkos visa...

You're not a real manager until you're PWEMIER LEAGUE PWOVEN mate, same goes for players. Credit to our board for taking their time with this, ahead of the curve as always.

It wouldn't take a lot of foresight to have an inkling that attracting a manager from another PL club in mid-season would be extremely difficult. Take the blue-tinted glasses off and there are many that would not see a great deal of difference between us and Watford.

During the pursuit of Koeman, it was exactly the same and not merely from Southampton fans - who the hell do Everton think they are?

This time, we trying to do it again but from a position of severe weakness.

Out of work managers and those from abroad in reality is the market we are, or should have been, looking in.
