I do not know whether Brands does or does not want Silva. I do know they both met Moshiri on Usmanov’s yacht in Monaco a couple of weeks ago. The Ex-Post/Echo National clique have been saying Silva privately for weeks. Might it change? Yes, if Brands really does want someone else. Would I be surprised? Very as I think the meeting implies he had already been consulted and signed off. The apparent delay/process is to avoid strengthening Watford’s claim.

I doubt Pozzo is going to sell you Doucoure or Ricky or anyone for that matter. We aren't a selling club under the Pozzos we will wait for the peak time to sell. And Pozzo aint going to want to do business with Mosh. so you wont be able to bully us

A warning from us and Hull:

He cant set up a defence in the premier league. His teams cant defend set pieces.
You will lose 3 nil regularly to the big 6.
He plays exciting attacking football but is keen to blame others when he fails, including people at the club.
Youll start off well I would think but I suspect he wont progress you much.
He will drop his knickers as soon as a big club looks at him, so don't expect to keep him.

Wouldn't be one bit bothered if we didn't get Silva. CBA with Silva and the baggage. I mean, why is he so sought after by us? Made up Sam has gone, so thats a massive plus. But, Silva coming in isn't making me sit up and take notice. Will get behind him of course, but was hoping for better.

It feels very Martinez. Underwhelming appointment that may come back to haunt us both in the league and financially. I just hope that if it does happen we don't go offering some massive 10 year contract for £6m a year. We seem to love wasting money on paying managers off lately.

We'd have to give him a chance. I thought we had an opportunity to go for someone like Emery. Doesn't seem so.

I'll give him a go. I just hope he is a bit more savvy defensively than Martinez. It'd be nice to have a manager that knows how to attack but is also aware that the opposition may do so as well!
