I may be being cynical, but I have the feeling it's going to take so long, so we all think we searched high and low for a new manager....
They're already playing at it with "the next manager will be chosen by Brands and DBB"

My arse it will when we have been bickering over compensation for Silva and the players all seemed to know the score as well according to last week's papers.

Just more of Bill's theatrics because he reckons the entire fanbase is soft.

Totally agree. It's much easier to tell the out of work Silva to like it or lump it.

Could be a bit American of me but is there such a thing as a dedicated defensive coach. Like could we get him in on condition that he works with X who's great at setting up a defense.

I don’t think it would be as easy to combine the two conflicting ideologies into one cohesive unit. It certainly has its merits in NFL, etc but with Football i can’t see it working

Silva definitely has something about him but it’s hard to look at his time at Watford as anything other than a mess.

I’d like to see us throw some offers around at a number of managers before just settling on our target from 6 months ago.

i'm not that convinced about Silva for a couple of reasons:

1) He never lasts long at a club. If he does well for us, he could go next Summer.

2) He's not had that so much success that it will take us beyond 7th, has he? I don't understand what his track record is really. I know the stats, but Watford and Hull were not that great - are we sure he's not just like another martinez? (whom I was a massive supporter of for most of the three years)

Go further back to his Portugal days before deciding he hasn’t had any success at all.
