And if it is Silva and he's known for a long time he's getting the job, which turning down other positions seems to indicate he has known, then it means we have someone whose been figuring out for 9 months what the side needs etc, which is a huge plus
I wish we had a mole to see if Silva or whoever the new manager was going to be had any input into Tosun/ Walcott/ Mangala even if to see if they were players he could work into his ideal playing style/ formation.

But it's Everton, so probably only just rung up Silva's agent yesterday.

Of Silva comes in that's me finished with the match and the board of criminals that are in chsrge. No ambition, plan, or foresight......people are happy to have these people make crap decisions and will continue to clap the biggest lying evertonian of them all. Thank feck I have seen proper winning football sides over the years....it will be quite some time before that happens again......phenomenal though it wont be

No loss here. Typical cryarse Evertonian who should shoulder a decent portion of the blame for the position we are in for a having a really negative cynical view of the club, no matter what it does.

This is a great point

Is Emery linked with anyone? Personally think he is out of reach for us

Blaming the fans for the position? Get a grip lad
Ta matty...I was in rant mode there mainly due to a lot of frustration on my part after watching EFC for the last 50 or so years, seeing some great trophy winning sides and watching the club ensure managed decline over the last 20-25 years. As I have said for a while now, I still do not think those in charge have a proper plan to take us forward. I agree wit those who say it will take time and instant success will not be achieved. I have renewed for next season and will wait and see what happens.........the awfulness of our last three managers does not full me with confidence....but to blame the fans is the last refuge of ignorance imo

Looking forward to the formation of the Cult of Marco to wage war against the reformed plotters next season
I’m starting my own cult
The fence sitters
Not my First , second , third or fourth choice but I’m prepared to give him 3 games preseason before I start booing.
If he’s appointed I’ll back him give him time and judge him on performances and results
If I can see a plan and players and tactics being bought and used to suit the plan and I see progress I’ll be happy.
I’d like him even more if he bought that Doucoure lad with him.
Liked the couple of times I’ve seen him and the pundits rate him highly.

I remember watching Silva’s Hull City side at Goodison a couple of years ago. Their fans absolutely idolised him and constantly sang his name throughout the match ( and even in the streets afterwards on their way back to their coaches even though they had been beaten)

He has a decent pedigree with plenty of success in Portugal, building exciting teams and winning trophies. We need to appoint him as soon as possible so as he can shape his own team and put his identity on it straight away.

He will give us a totally fresh look and a new positive way of playing.

If it is him, good luck and welcome Marco.

Which manager could unite the fan base? Other the Pep, can’t really think of anyone and there no chance with him.

Silva not my 1st choice but he far better then Sam and I’ll get right behind him
