Marco Silva

Fonseca, Emery even Dyche would be my preferences but the truth is we probably have limited options and need a manger/Dog in sharpish as the window is early this year and this guy was our number one target since last year. He's only 40 so his weaknesses as a young coach could improve he will bring good attacking football and coaching hopefully we give him a few years to build something.

I hear you and I'm not necessarily advocating Silva. I'd give him my fullest support if he rocked up, but would probably prefer Emery. Not least of all for the style that his Sevilla side tore into the sh1te in that final. (And because he reminds me of Dracula). Anyhow, what I'm saying about Silva, is that to get another move 'above and beyond' us, would take one huge salary leap. He'd need surely need time with us (i.e. beyond his first couple of months), to justify that? So I doubt he'd be that much of a risk in terms of jumping ship early.
Emery is the fit bird in the club who you've had your eye on all night. You watch from afar, but never have the bottle to ask her out in case she laughs in your face and makes a tit out of you in front of all your mates.

In terms of having his head turned - don’t think he was the only manager we approached, I’m positive the likes of Tuchel were sounded out. He will have told us to jog on. Dyche may have been asked the question as well.
Regardless if it was to do with the approach or not, surely the fact surely it shows he is unprofessional and completely lacks a winning mentality?

Managers And players get tapped up all the time but their performances don't drop off a cliff.

My opinion is that Watford had a couple of decent/alright months and then there performances dropped as expected.

If his name was Mark gold or some crap born in stoke, would he be getting the Everton job after a relegation and a sacking? The answer is no. Just another fancy name who had a good couple of months and everything wants him.

Your wrong mate he was there 9 months. when we approached they were competing for CL. They lost 10 games after approach. Are we really blaming him for our approach and the impact it had on Watford.

Let’s hope no bigger clubs show an interest in him while he’s managing us then..

Moyes managed to not fall to bits even when he knew he was jumping ship like.

Not really, no. What's there to be impressed by? None of it compares to what Fonseca or Emery have done.

Hull ended up in the Championship at the end of the day.

Watford got turned over by an Unsworth Everton team bereft of confidence and completely fell off the boil the second he was linked to us because his head got turned easy.

I hold what he did at Watford against him more than anything. If we sign him I won't be able to help feeling he's another Koeman treating us as a stepping stone because we have already see him do it 6 months into a job.
What has fonseca done that's so remarkable!

Anyone who watched him vs Everton this season and tell me he is a good manager...

struggling to score goals and chances and put 3 past his Watford side.

People questioned Martinez and used the Wigan relegation as a stick to beat him with.

At least Martinez actually won something respectable!

This guy has got relegated and got sacked from his last two English clubs, now all of a sudden he is meant to be good enough for Everton?

Once again Everton settle for average/crap
He didn't get sacked by Hull

Yeah, but if you don't embrace the potential humiliation and have a go at the fit bird, you could end up taking Sam Allardyce home to bed.

Only this low grade chancer got on his knees and begged moshiri.

All good managers, just like players get sounded out and tapped up, all of them, to use that as an excuse is pathetic, its like were making excuses for him being a poor manager before he has even got here. If we get off to a bad start under him fingers will just get pointed at others anyway to justify him, blame Bill, blame the foundation left by Sam/Koeman and Walsh...etc its pathetic

Moshiri just has no long term vision, everyone knows there are going to be several managers available in the summer, even Conte and Wenger, but to stick with the one he wanted six months ago just shows he hasnt even thought about anyone else, mans a clown

That's some weird set up you have got in mind there...
