Probably. Just an observation following your post that 3 sacked managers actually did ok. On paper.

Agreed. But Silvas successes have been a Portuguese cup at Sporting, which is a massive Club and winning the League at Olympiakos where they’d won it the 4 seasons previosly, he took Hull down and got sacked at Watford. My argument isn’t about how good Fonseca is (although it looks like that!) rather the question marks I have over Silva.

...i’m not defending Silva, but Hull were genuinely a basket case when he took over. I know folk in the first team set up at Hull and they were really impressed with the man and the coach. I have no insight to his time at Watford, but I went the game at Goodison and I still don’t know how we won.

I have no preference for Silva over Fonseca.

I doubt they'd find their feet immediately in their first season here, as the last three managers did. That experience of the league counted for something, surely?
