It's me rocking up to the Christmas party on the morning of a Tory majority.

Well training is going to be very constructive and fulfilling this morning isn't it considering all of his players and staff know that he is just about to get the bullet and so following his instructions will be completely pointless, not that they ever do anyway tbf. Even the Everton twitter account is only tweeting the women's team.

I want him gone because he isn't good enough but he certainly doesn't deserve to be treated in contempt. Put him out of his misery ffs.

Way to go Everton, cracking management as always. Absolute embarrassment of a football club.

Totally agree!how can he take a training session knowing the club don’t want him his days are numbered,ok he’s not the man for the job but you can’t put him through that and probably sack him anyway after the next 2 games.its not on its disrespectful from the board. he needs to go now not take training session

I genuinely wonder how the players are going to respond. It seems he is a dead man walking, there is nothing from the club radio silence on social and everything. Reports of, he has the next couple of games cos they can't find someone, how is that going to translate onto the pitch.

Players know they don't need to play for him, not exactly getting them all gee'd up with probably the most difficult run of fixtures for any club in the league coming up. I know no-one wants a new manager coming in with this run of fixtures, but massive change needs to happen to get anything out of the next few games.

This whole situation just gets worse day by day.

Spurs and City were nowhere near the le

top six out of ontext.

City took ages to be any real power and many of those wins would have been against the likes of Sven and what not.

Spurs we were level with for many years until they kicked on recently.

By the same token you can’t compare United Chelsea and Arsenal now to the teams Moyes had to face: Ferguson’s United, Wenger’s invincibles, Chelsea under Mourinho and Ancelotti.

The main reason it didn't work for Moyes at Utd is the reason why he didn't work for us away at a top 6 team nor at home against the fodder. The ability to keep possession and break teams down. United at home under him conceded the majority of possession to WBA.

His style is the first ball diagonal, play off the second ball. And to be fair, in some of his years here he had some very good players who thrived in that final third, like Osman, Arteta and Pienaar and a consistent supply line from LB.

But that style of football only gets you so far. Away against the big boys they carve you open because a Moyes team can't generate and sustain pressure with those tactics. At home against the lowly teams, they'll sit in, deny the space in front of the defence and look to counter. The best example is 0-3 v Wigan in the cup.

Moyes did wonders here because of where he picked us up from. Silva, for me anyway, was the right type of appointment because his teams look to be good on the ball through each stage of the pitch. His problem is consistency, obviously, but also he doesn't seem to have an ability to get results from what he has. What I mean by that is, we know he's missing a CB, we know he lost Gueye and we know he needs a proper, proven striker. With what he has got though, he should be able to produce far, far better than 15th. Maybe not top 6 yet.

Win 3 of the next run of games though and he buys himself some time. I don't see him doing that of course.

I still have nightmares about an Everton loss at Old Trafford,at the 'height' of the Moyes tenure. My wifes boss at the time had season tickets at OT, but couldn't make the game,so gave me the tickets. The seats were directly behind the dug out, about 4 rows back. All through the game Moyes kept shouting 'hit the front man!'(Anichebe I think) and refused to change anything despite Alan Irvine asking continually for a change to be made. I think we lost 4-0, but I can still hear Moyes shouting 'Hit the front man' That's the measure of his tactical skills in attack. The man would never have lasted 11 years at any other club, with any other chairman.

Marco 'the snake' Silva

See I can understand Watford fans been like that towards him but not us.ok he’s not the man for the job we know that but no need for any personally hatred towards him let’s be honest if we had beat Norwich none of these posts would be said.he needs to go for football reasons but he’s done nothing wrong to hate him on a personal level
