How do you know with absolute certainty he didn't have any input in the signings at Watford?

Does Silva have any say in the signings here, mate? Does Howe have any say in the signings at Bournemouth?

Also, Silva signed Grosicki and Ideye before Watford.

That's just the way Watford work under the Pozzo's, it has been since they took over, they have a network of clubs they own and they swap the players between them. I live down south and i know a few Watford fans and have heard the moans and groans about the manager not having any say in signings many times. Silva does seem to have some say here although im not sure it's that much given the way he seemed to be whinging towards the end of the window. No idea about Howe and Bournemouth tbh, i guess it's him, he seems to run the whole show down there.

Silva took over that Hull team that were on 13 points, had concerned 24 goals in 10 away games, were 22 matches without a clean sheet and scored 17 goals in 20 games.

He managed to win 6 and draw 3 in his remaining games with 4 clean sheets.

It's probably also worth pointing out that they signed Niasse in the middle of January and he was their joint second highest goal scorer for the season with 4.
And Hull would’ve had him back in a heartbeat, but they signed him short term.

That’s because I wouldn’t praise him for 7/10 performances, that’s a standard bar for a £45m player. 8/10 and above I’ve praised him more or less every time. Of course you’ll ignore that and pretend it hasn’t happened though.

I also have no issue with anyone calling proven utter dog crap players like Cuco Martina crap. The angle you’re coming at me from here is really strange.
Nice. So the transfer fee from 3 seasons ago dictates your opinion of someone’s play. Bernard must be a wizard then.

Klopp & Pep inherited vastly superior squads and didnt need total rebuilds either.
Not sure that's entirely true.

Liverpool’s starting XI for Klopp's first match in charge: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Leiva, Can, Milner, Lallana (replaced by Allen), Coutinho (replaced by Ibe), Origi
Subs: Toure, Allen, Ibe, Bogdan, Sinclair, Vilaca Teixeira, Randall

That's a pretty poor line up with an absolutely horrendous bench!

Slightly misleading that though because they did have the likes of Henderson, Firmino, Gomez, Lovren etc who are still there now and have been a proper part of their success, but evidently weren't available for that particular game.

I'm surprised some view Silva's spell with Hull in a negative light tbh, I thought he did a fantastic job given the circumstances.
but ultimately failed..

he had them out of the relegation zone with 3 games to go, then lost the last 3 games with an aggregate of 13-1 and they went down

It was always going to be a miracle job and he nearly pulled it off with such a dross squad, Robertson and Maguire weren't at the levels they are today.

he just needed a couple of draws or maybe one against palace.... seeing as hed done so well youd of thought that wouldn't be too much of an ask

They were relegated after the Palace loss (second last game), so don't think you can count their 7-1 loss to Spurs in the last game as it didn't matter and they played like it didn't. Three games before that were a draw and two losses - I think against other relegation candidates.

my point still counts..

he failed when actually getting them in a position to stay up

Astoundingly they let in the most goals in the prem that season, even without the 7 from spurs on the last day. They were 6 points adrift at the end so even converting a couple of defeats to draws wouldn't have saved them.
