I’ve been banging on about this but people won’t have it. I keep reading how our squad is way better than Sheffield Utd/Bournemouth/wolves etc etc. I’m afraid we have a bang average squad, assembled at over-inflated prices.Half of this is Silva’s fault, there’s no doubt about that. He’s not good enough, though I firmly believe he’s a decent bloke who has tried his best.
One thing however has remained the same over the last 3-5 years and that isn’t the manager, it’s a core of players who are spineless, passionless, or who are simply nowhere near good enough. We’ve overpaid for some bang average players and it’s hurting us now. There are plenty of culprits. The likes of Keane, Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson, Walcott, Tosun, Niasse, Sandro, and Bolasie shouldn’t be getting near our squad if we want to be pushing top 6. Gylfi was a player I liked a lot once upon a time, but I’ve been disgusted by what I’ve seen this season, hiding in plain sight when we need him most. The wages we’re giving this lot to not give a crap is criminal.
Marco will undoubtedly be changed, but I hope Brands is absolutely ruthless offloading this lot in the summer or we’re likely to see history repeat itself. I’m angrier with these overpaid weapons than Marco.
Been saying it for years.. it’s a mentality issue caused by Moyes and still affects us today. Until we get rid of Coleman/Bains and Kenwright we always have that loser mentalityI’ve been banging on about this but people won’t have it. Absolute b******. Get good enough players and they will win things. It is why Man City are the most successful team in recent years.Been saying it for years.. it’s a mentality issue caused by Moyes and still affects us today. Your know, just thinking about it, that speaks volumes about how poor a manager/coach he is if the players love him and we STILL see these results.Or the players who apparently love him decide to actually turn up for a change and put in 110% effort and get results
Starting to agree and their attitudes are largely poor too.I’ve been banging on about this but people won’t have it. I keep reading how our squad is way better than Sheffield Utd/Bournemouth/wolves etc etc. I’m afraid we have a bang average squad, assembled at over-inflated prices.
They like him but that doesn't make him a good manager, if anything they might like him because he doesn't demand that extra from them or rollock them when they make a mistake. He has the inspiration and leadership of wet lettuce.Your know, just thinking about it, that speaks volumes about how poor a manager/coach he is if the players love him and we STILL see these results.

lollollollollollollollollollol he's never "coming good"!Apologies if its been said loads already, but they are probably hoping he will come good as he did the last time we had a run against the "big" sides.
Agree but it's not in him. That's why the players 'like'. Losing doesn't hurt him enough. You know what I'd love to see from Silva? ANGER! I know it's a bit late in the day, but he should rip these players to shreds and send them out on the field with their ears ringing. Everybody needs a good bollocking sometime.
Now whether the players could even care less is another matter... some of this lot have seen off how many managers?
Even if he gets a result in the next few games the next bad run is around the corner again with the joker. He isn't a big personality, lacks inspiration, lacks tactically, his subs are dreadful, he chops and changes hoping something works even when he finds an effective line up. Then he will revert to type with this dreary 4321 with Morgan and Sig the next week because he's scared or his own shadow. The job is too big for him
