2019/20 Marco Silva

This fella has had 200 million since July 2018. The club has made back about 87 million in outgoing transfers, still he’s spent roughly around 110-115 million out the clubs budget and this squad doesn’t look much better. The club top to bottom is rotten in the last 4 summer windows the outlay is close to 440 million. Astonishing amount of money spent without adding Walcott and Tosun in ... we used to laugh at the RS blowing money on Carroll, Downing, Aqualini, we used to moan ‘if we had the money’. Well for 3-4 seasons now the money has been there and this club looks no better ... Silva has to go but also the boardroom needs a severe clear out.
Good point this, we end up saying it every season. I’m confident we will be saying it next year too.
This problem lies at Moshiris door, it’s his fault. I’m not dissing him here because he’s done a lot with good intentions but his biggest mistake to date was to keep the old guard around when he took over. He should have come in and cleaned the place out, binned the people responsible for the last 25 years, but yet some of them still remain stinking the place out. I feel with the connections Moshiri and Usmanov have they could have found highly competent football people to come in and run the club.
If they would have done that I don’t think we would be were we are now and I’m quite certain Sam allardyce would have never been near the club.
It’s one of them though, the mistakes have been made but if they don't learn from it and get the next managerial appointment wrong then we are looking at more transitional seasons and mediocrity.
The only way Silva is buying more time around here is if he beats Man City, and I can’t see that happening.

I remember some of silvas first subs when he was first here , and they were all attackers which left us with 5 forwards on ..

at the time everyone was like , great, a forward thinking manager instead of Allardyce and koeman defensive shabite , but I was thinking this fella hasn't got a clue.

doing that will 99% of the time result in conceding yet more goals … as it what has happened.

its just clueless desperation. he hasn't got any idea

Oh look West Ham appoint a nothing special but half decent manager and spend similiar but less money than us on decent players including a good striker and look they are having a solid season.

Almost as if the Dildo brothers actually have a plan.

Since 2015

Mourinho: 1 prem title, 2 league cups, 1 Europa league, 1 fa cup final, 1 second place in the league.

Wenger: 2 fa cups, Europa league finalist.

Washed Up? I’d take washed up thanks if it means any of the above.
If you look a bit deeper at the performance level of United under Mourinho you'll be less than impressed. They finished second in the league because De Gea had one of the greatest goalkeeping seasons ever.

Arsenal massively underachieved under Wenger from 2014 on. And he wasn't manager when they lost the Europa League final.

But the question is are they better that what we've had previously and what we can realistically aim for?

If the answer is yes whats the problem?

We aint winning the Champions League anytime soon so Jose Mourinho or Arsene Wenger would be welcomed with open arms by me.

He brought in a fella from leicester that helped buy them the league. Maybe he got lucky at Leicester and unlucky with us where he wasted every penny we had.
Brands has done well at clubs in lesser leagues, he is doing poorly at Everton. Could be bad luck or that he isnt any good at this level. Am I the only one who cringed and was very sceptical when we made such a big deal about giving a new players mum an everton short lmfao.

Moshiri is trying. All his managers have been crap apart from Fat Sam (admittedly plays unattractive but effective football) and the 2 directors of football he has employed so far have been crap. We underestimate how much luck is involved.
