The answer is no. I'm not an expert on every manager but i guarantee someone out there who most haven't heard of will be a household name in 5 years and that's who we should find.

Sorry should have been Europa League semi. Either way there’s no way round those achievements. I don’t care what the performance level is if you’re delivering those trophies.
 
for people saying mourinho is past it and not good enough, needs 500m etc etc

his targets here are nowhere near to what teams like united strive for.

success here would be the fa cup

we already have talented players that need to be coached properly and told how to perform against teams instead of this one dimensional silva approach,

all Mourinho would need is a huge contract and 3 or 4 players that suit his system.

get us closer to the top 4-6 and get us a trophy, fa cup or league cup ..

who knows , get us in the Europa and then give that a real good go.

we wouldn't need to be spending anywhere near 500m in order to get us slightly competitive.

Do you think that was the ceiling for those squads though? Because if they were only getting 75% out of them than they will have us right back in 8th getting 75% of our squad.

I think Mourinho massively overachieved with that United squad, look at the state of it now. Same with Wenger. If you think they wouldn’t be an improvement on what we’ve had then we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I just don't see them coming in here and revolutionizing the club the way that we really need. Like what Poch did or what Gasperini has done with Atalanta. I don't see guys who have managed for two decades doing that now.
