What do you want, a board that is prepared to spend money? A board that is willing to sack managers for finishing 8-11th?

???????

Have you not been paying attention the last few seasons

The board care only for the stadium mate - rightly or wrongly and they only act when we are in absolute freefall and face a potential relegation battle.

The fact we gave Alladyce a gig is testament to that our ambition is avoiding relegation until BMD is sorted.

We never go out of our way to actually make a statement appointment or transfer signing as the board are happy where we are.

My advice is buckle in as the next 3 seasons will be the same with the added flavour of a likely RS title win or two along the way.

Nah we would lose the top players like Digne, Rich and Pickford - we would deffo have 1 season at most to get back up before losing a good bulk of the side.

As I said im certainly not advocating or saying it would be a good thing as it wouldnt - however when you accept that this current stagnation isnt going to change under the current board the quicker you realise relegation wouldnt be a disaster - it wouldnt kill us like it would have in the 90's and fans would still be going home and away - you would just hope it would result in the decks been cleared and a new board, manager and structure in place with an actual plan going forward.

Everton is just another "side outside the top 6" now and the current board have no plans to change that anytime soon hence why we continue to appoint managers from bottom half/relegated clubs.
You would lose all of them, Gomes is the championship don't think so, iwobi, siggy Bernard mate come on.

I just dont think it would be a disaster mate - it wouldn't kill us financially and it wouldn't stop fans going the game.

Yes it would be embarrassing and those lovable Reds and Soccer AM fans on twitter would be having a right good chuckle - but so what if we play in the championship rather than win one lose one before finishing 8-11th in the prem, not winning a derby game and knocked out the cups early. As I said if you was a young Villa fan you'll have seen more success them winning the play offs at wembley than a young Evertonian seeing nothing but humpings in the derby.

I honestly wouldnt miss the current Everton. Im not old enough to remember the glory days but atleast that decade under Moyes as poor as we were at times we had some bloody fight in us and punched above our weight. Then Martinez made us dream that 1st season and since then the past 6 years have been groundhog day bar Koemans first season which was pretty average outside of Lukaku being on absolute fire.

I would say that:

Relegation would be a disaster for the top 6.

It would be embarassing for Everton, Leicester, West Ham etc.

It would be predictable for the rest

Taking the Blue tinted glasses off thats the reality not including the current stadium situation.

I honestly think if we do go down at some point it wouldnt be a disaster (stadium aside if not sorted by then).

1. It will see the end of chancers like Kenwrong and Moshiri who will be chased out of town.

2. It will get us away from the fixation with Liverpool and having them doing so well in the league will hurt us less

3. It might actually give the fans something to look forward to - one of my mates is a Newcastle fan and he said their stints in the championship were the best he's had supporting them in the last decade or so - winning most games, playing against proper old school clubs etc.

Obviously winning the fizzy pop league or play offs wouldn't be celebrated that much by the majority of our fans who think as a club we are above those achievements (and rightly so) however it would atleast give the younger fans like my little lad the chance to see us lift something which most clubs outside of Everton in the football league have done in the last 20 years or so (win something or promotion to a higher division).

Im just fed up of this constant state of purgatory of the board having just enough ambition to finish 8-11th and 1 season in 5 or so that we come 7th we likely struggle the season after.

Its become too predictable and im
Frankly fed up of this club and league in general.
your suggestion of fixing this club is to make us worse off by relegating us and losing the likes of Digne/Richarlison/Kean, m8?

Christ, yes let's go down for a bit of success?? Eh??

Now that Watford have brought back their manager I reckon they're eyeing Silva after Florez gets the boot. He's got his head turned. I knew he never loved us and doesn't wear Everton pyjamas before he sleeps.

Just looked at the next 5 league fixtures. Genuinely struggling to see a win in there. Brighton away looks the easiest but you can almost write the script. More of the ball. Half hour or so. Go 1 down.
And we dont do comebacks.
Trying to look at positives but difficult to pull any out.
Really think we're in a bit of bother.
No point. I remember looking at the run of home fixtures last year expecting to be pummelled in each one. Who knows if we sort ourselves out fast.

I've been all for giving him time, but this start to the season has been beyond crap. Those first 6 fixtures should've yielded 4 wins. Sadly I think he's out of his depth. Our problems are much bigger than just that though. Unless we get a top manager in and give him 2 years minimum we won't be going anywhere.

lol going down would end this club.

For those only interested in seeing us play the top 6 twice a year maybe. However providing the team we had down there had some bottle and fight and their was a proper plan/structure in place at the club I would still be going home and away mate.

Football existed long before the Prem and will long after its gone.

I’ve always said if we went down we woudnt come back and I stand by it
