What about burnley west ham and brighton? The next 3. Two away from home. Would he survive 3 losses.

I we lose the next 3, which lets be honest isn’t totally out of the realms of possibility, then I can see him getting one more game rather than the chop. If we then go out in the cup, they’ll probably pull the trigger.

For me though, no point actually doing so until we’ve identified a replacement we actually want. No way another Allardyce situation will be helpful.

Must be the bizarre age of social media.

Give me the 70/80/90's and there would not be a sole evertonian on the planet that would not
to go all out for a manager of Mourinos calibre.

We get all the bizarre stuff like hes outdated, he lives in a hotel.blah, blah.

Keep it simple - employ the best.

Believe me as an `old boy' with a long experience of life and business its 99% of the time the best option.

His asistent joao pedro sousa is first in Portugal with famalicao

I think this has a lot to do with us this year. They’d been working together since estoril I believe and there must be a correlation with our form. I think there’s a lot changed behind the scenes that people aren’t taking into account.

Yeah we are sh*t atm but there’s things to consider. We’ve got a new spine of the team, new coaching staff and been unfortunate with injuries. As bad as everything has been we’re still only 4 points off 4th so all is not lost.

Manager is not the problem in my opinion. He will make a team about of this soup of eclectic players brought in at the last minute and despite atwo players down the spine of the team from last season not being available.

Changing the captain of a ship after you hit the ice berg wont make a blind bit of difference for me.

Tactics wont save our problems right now.

Also only one point above bottom three.

So Neiler you approved of the team selection yesterday?

Mourinho lived in a hotel for his whole period in Manchester. He is not going to look at Everton as a long term project. If you thought Koeman had no interest in sticking around, imagine Mourinho
I'm not personally advocating José, but a manager of that calibre is more likely to bring short-term success, say a cup.

It would be nice for the younger generations to see that rather than the mediocrity in the league, cups and Europe we've had for years.

He loses the next 3 and he’s fired. You don’t lose 6 straight n keep your job!

We're two points worse off than we were at this stage last year, but having won our seventh game last season we won five out of the next seven (Man Utd L; Chelsea D) before the wheels came off at Anfield.

It really needs to start clicking between now and the third international break. If I remember rightly last year, the team began to settle at this point, and partnerships like Bernard and Digne began to form.

The manager now needs to make tough decisions on whether Iwobi takes Bernard's place, Sigurddson's place, or neither, and whether DCL or Kean gets the nod up front. And fingers crossed we can get Gomes fit and keep Delph fit. Think Gbamin's return can't come soon enough either.
