He loses the next 3 and he’s fired. You don’t lose 6 straight n keep your job!

Problem is he keeps fluking a win keeping him in the job.

Martinez did it for 2 seasons straight until the players threw the towel in.

I thought he would be sacked if we lose at Burnley next week but even Im having doubts now - Brands who I thought was no nonsense and ambitious is starting to appear more and more like the rest of our mediocre board happy to plod along aslong as we dont get relegated.

Wouldn't be suprised if he gets until Xmas providing we aint in the bottom 3 which is a disgrace.

Manager is not the problem in my opinion. He will make a team about of this soup of eclectic players brought in at the last minute and despite atwo players down the spine of the team from last season not being available.

Changing the captain of a ship after you hit the ice berg wont make a blind bit of difference for me.

Tactics wont save our problems right now.

Come on Neiler, Silva now blames Wallcot coming off upset his plans, Another rubbish excuse! Tactics won't save us, you mean carry onwith the 4-2-3-1?
So we stay with Silve until when, lose more games, relegation, start winning , win a cup, please at one point should we act?

You can understand the thinking, Walcott is one if not the fastest players at the club, we saw how DCL pace upset both Ferdinandino and Otomendi neither known for their pace of subtly in defending and so it proved, it was a good decision o start with Walcott considering the match ups and the logic. Pace and penetration hurt City yesterday and Walcott would have added to it in my opinion.

I think what you are guilty of is looking at tactics as strict, they are much more fluid then that, very few teams play a whole game with a strict formation these days, they are more fluid depending on the momentum of the game and formations interchange as the game progresses, its not a set and forget because Sky has a team lining up a certain way in a graphic, yesterday alone we changed formation three or four times.

To what success?

Well we created as much as City and broke even all over the pitch, if not more then City and broke even on possession XG, XA etc, any day you do that you havnt had a bad day as a manager, we didnt win of course but the tactics were right, but it was the difference in the quality of player and finishing that dictated the result in my opinion.

It's going to be a white knuckle ride but we have to stick with him until the end of the season and then reassess the situation.
Sacking him now just takes us back to square one with a new manager clearing out the last manager players and then replacing them with another lot.
I have not given up on him yet and still think he needs to have the time for new players settle in.

international break coming up

perfect time to bring in
