Played alrite yesterday and looked up for it, shame they coudknt apply that application to villa bournmiueth and sheff United. Hate the way we chose to turn up sometimes but just completely roll over most of the other games

We're two points worse off than we were at this stage last year, but having won our seventh game last season we won five out of the next seven (Man Utd L; Chelsea D) before the wheels came off at Anfield.

It really needs to start clicking between now and the third international break. If I remember rightly last year, the team began to settle at this point, and partnerships like Bernard and Digne began to form.

The manager now needs to make tough decisions on whether Iwobi takes Bernard's place, Sigurddson's place, or neither, and whether DCL or Kean gets the nod up front. And fingers crossed we can get Gomes fit and keep Delph fit. Think Gbamin's return can't come soon enough either.
These arn't tough decisions. I dont think tactical or personnel changes will alter results to almost any degree.

There is little between iwobi/bernard or dcl/kean on current showing. Sigu is a luxury, defensive liability but he will get you vital goals. Any manager would have him around. You cant keep fingers crossed about fitness - you need to plan for the worst case.

Silva knew he was probably doomed the moment the transfer window closed. Even he wont be surprised at our results,

Lol’d out loud at that

I don't blame anyone for turning on a manager with a worse record than Koeman.

He's actually got decent support compared to his predecessors so he doesn't even have that excuse. He's very lucky to still be here and he's not giving us anything back.

To have wrecked a league campaign by September after spending almost a hundred million is impressive in anyone's book.

I don't think it was a case of turning up for Man City I think it is a case of what styles we come up against. City are a very open team that will leave space for us to exploit and we seem capable of it against teams that open up and have a go at us. The other style is the biggest problem....the lesser teams shut up shop and we do not have the nous to break them down and then we are the team that leaves spaces for these teams to break against alongside our achilles of defending set pieces. Until we can unlock defensive teams we will have this problem

Reason being is that he approaches every game pretty much the same home and away.

We've a good enough quality squad to dominate possession against most teams. The problem is we can't break sides down who park the bus and play on the counter.

We play the same against teams who attack and we cause problems or tend to win those games.

He needs to change and adapt for the needs of each game rather than set up the same.

Some say we've a striker problem. I don't think we have. I feel it's our approach play that's a problem especially against teams that are difficult to break down.

Tosun is probably the best finisher at the club. Get him a chance in the box he'll score.
DCL biggest asset is his athleticism and heading ability.
Kean is explosive, strong, powerful.

You've 3 different types of striker yet we don't change approach play to suit them. He's got plenty of attacking players but seems to play the same way regardless.

It's going to be a white knuckle ride but we have to stick with him until the end of the season and then reassess the situation.
Sacking him now just takes us back to square one with a new manager clearing out the last manager players and then replacing them with another lot.
I have not given up on him yet and still think he needs to have the time for new players settle in.

He is deserved to go based on the fixtures he has and he got 7 points out of it.

If he gets like 13 points from the 7 games we play then no one will complain. We lost to Sheff Utd at home and bumped by Bournemouth and Villa. This is enough.

I’m not blaming anyone for turning on him at this point, I’m just laughing at the suggestion the fans haven’t turned on him yet. At least 60% had turned on him by February and after Villa this season it was more like 75%.

Looking back with hindsight, I think he deserved to go after Millwall.

Now the board have backed him, they don't want to look silly by replacing him. But I think it's inevitable we will struggle and he'll end up going pre- Christmas.

We do the same every week, with the same players, the same tactics, the same subs and the same errors. I just don't think he's good enough to be our manager. No point letting another season go down the drain

I am not certain the board have backed him, they have backed Brands.

Brands was key to the recruitment. He also vetoed Silvas request for Rojo.

Silvas demeanour is not one that would inspire me, and he appears more moody than usual currently, so god knows how he can fully motivate pampered multi millionaires with almost 0 affiliation to the club.

Sheff United was the nail in the coffin me, Wasn't even the loss really it was just how we performed and how the manager reacted and how the team was set up (Two DM's at home btw) and then flings on every attacker and we just went to mush, I'd keep till the end and sack tbh, If he were to leave now I can't imagine the person coming in this early into the season would be the ideal candidate who Everton would hope to keep for the next couple of years leading into BmD.
