We need a viable replacement. I do not see who we would bring in. Moyes is like the “break in case of emergency” candidate. Would put a lot of noses out of joint if they brought him in, even as an interim, as it would highlight the fact we have actually gone backwards while peeing a fortune down the drain!

Martinez was sacked on the Thursday after losing to Sunderland

Koeman was sacked the day after we got hammered by Arsenal

Allardyce was sacked the day after the final game of 2017/18

Expect an announcement of Silva’s dismissal at some point tomorrow if previous is to go by
 
We didn’t deserve to lose today in my opinion but we didn’t deserve to win either which is worrying in itselfThere are 3 points I want to make about today, McNeil played the ref and got Coleman sent off which seems to be happening more and more and no one ever gets brought to account. Secondly Silva has to drop siggardson. If he’s not scoring goals what is contributing to the team? He didn’t link any play whatsoever today but he wasn’t anywhere near getting on the end of anything either so what’s the point of him. Lampard would bust a gut to get in the box but I didn’t see siggardson anywhere near the ball when we managed to get a ball in there. Thirdly when had Calvert Lewin ever had a good game away from home in the league. Anonymous today. Yes service lacking but Kean did more in 5 minutes than he did in 70 minutes and kean was playing with a man light. We shouldn’t be under this much pressure this early in the season but the players and the manager have brought it on themselves, I seen the life sucked out of us the moment they went ahead. Nick pope is twice the keeper Pickford is he is a calamity waiting to happen ever time the ball goes in the box. Nick pope commands the area no fuss no drama just gets on with it.

There will be no sacking this side of the international break.
 
I find it amusing that these managers where dismissed by this forum :-

Brendan Rodgers (When at Celtic) Leicester 3rd, 14 points
Manuel Pellegrini, West Ham heading to 4th, 13 points
Sean Dyche, Burnley 5th, 12 points
Eddie Howe, Bournemouth 10th, 11 points but played 1 less game.

If Newcastle somehow get a win v Manure we are in the bottom 3 with a quarter of the season gone.... the signs were there last season. And with all his other PL teams.

I would rather we had a replacement lined up first if they are to fire him.

If that doesn't happen the air of crisis would magnify and we are right back to an Unsworth/Allardyce scenario.

It is imperative that we have someone lined up to avoid all that.
 
He'll get a couple more games but time is certainly running out and I don't see our form improving, he just won't pack that zonal marking crap in and that will cost him his job.

Pick up a man and mark him, that's the best defending, always has been always will be, sick to death of seeing players getting a free go in our box.
 
I want him to succeed but he is on thin ice. I feel sorry for Bernard because I think he improves our team. Iwobi looked disjointed today. Should have scored and didn’t link with Digne which is affecting him. I think Iwobi is more suited to playing through the middle and we have the option to swap positions with Bernard on the pitch because Siggardson is a waste of time at the moment.

But didn't it give us all those clean sheets before the bad run started?

Cant remember too many complaints during that period.
