You've missed the point, or I've worded it badly.
As I said, it's not the player. It's the tactics and system.
He's using a system which only worked at the end of last season because there were two particular types of player in it. Basically trying to play exactly the same way without two key cogs.
Yeh, I doubt Gana would have helped us break down Sheff Utd as such, though why try and play exactly the same without him there? At least, if you're gonna do that, throw in Davies instead of Schneiderlin to at least inject 'something' into the midfield.
I don't think missing Gana or Zouma are the key factors. But playing a system which only worked (and it didn't work perfectly) because it had 11 square pegs in square holes now that they're not here is pointless.
Throw in the crap tactics of just crossing it in and then everything else on top then it all adds up.
Im not having a pop, but by your own admission you have seen about 5 mins of us play this season, yet feel qualified to comment on formations and player performance ?
Genuinely don't get it.
Why would any manager agree to work under that?
They don’t mate, it’s the weird voices in Daves head again.
He just spreads unsubstantiated information as though they are facts, it’s all a bit odd.
That was what I was driving at. I should have been more direct. A bit like Everton.
A quality striker makes Siggy instantly better, a quality playmaker can’t play the ball to a striker that doesn’t move.
Not defending Siggy, he’s been desperate, but he’s not the only one!
I answered. There's more than enough blame to go round. How about answering the point mate.
You seem a little contrived in your responses when your irrational responses in defending Martinez and Silva are challenged.
Please don't think I am being ignorant in not responding , as just going to work , sadly.
Boa Morte, Ferguson and Jeffers on the coaching staff and they still cant slot.I cannot understand how the club employs Kean, Richarlison, Tosun and DCL, 4 strikers with different skillsets who can all offer something different, and have shown they can score outside of Everton...
Yet cannot hit a cows backside here.
Sigurdsson, Iwobi and Bernard should be a threat too.
Something is very wrong somewhere.
This side might not be top 6 quality, but it is far stronger than bottom 6 material.
And that is current bottom 3 off the back of an easy fixture schedule.
A quality striker would instantly turn gash when he has that cart horse slug behind him. A bit like when Lukaku only scored 10 league goals that season he had Naismith playing as a number 10 every single week.

So you think he should go then?
I meant since Brands has been here.Respectfully disagree there on the signings mate. Besides tielemens Leicester didnt do all that much in the summer, perez an expensive flop so far. Their players are just stepping up, tuyuncu has been class at the back, Madison arguably the best midfielder in the league outside city this season. They're playing a system that suits their players, dont think we do the same or make the tactical changes when it becomes clear it's not working. Sigurdsson being our pivot and persisting with him when hes clearly struggling is doing us mo favours. Would love to see us go with 2 up top, 2 wide, gomes in front of delph for west ham but silva is so predictable it's a pointless conversation. 4231. Groundhog day.
