First steps of the new manager - hang the cowards out to dry. The invisible overpaid cowards who pick up a wage and care nothing for this club. The ones who come out on social media every week saying ‘stick together’ and ‘work harder’ and other such overused and awful sound bites.

What a fantastic way to endear players to their new manager. Clearly you haven't read the book on 'how to win friends and influence people'. Even disturbingly, I think you actually believe in what you're saying!

Funny enough, listening to a podcast with Gary Neville and he said pretty much the same thing and why he failed at Valencia. Pep etc identify the players who don't fit the system, who don't want to be there, who are unfit etc, and make decisions/pull the trigger.

Being everyone's pal and giving players a chance doesn't work.

I pity anyone who doesn't realise that this marks the end of Everton FC as we know it.

All the talk of investment, new world class stadium on the docks and one day challenging for the title - we are sat in the relegation spots yet giving more time to a Novice manager who did nothing last season nor in his entire time in English football or any half decent league.

Wake up Blues - our board have confirmed that they see us no different to a Watford or Crystal Palace.

Farce.

What is "Everton as we know it"?

What a sad state Everton is in... We've lost a golden chance to reach top 6 (which won't happen again like this season), the squad underperforms/doesn't care and almost in the relegation zone, even after a good transfer window. And you know what, our genius manager is still here :pint2:

Why won't it happen again? Man United are a basket case, Tottenham are imploding and Lampard contrary to popular belief is not the best manager around.

Alright lad I want Silva out too but lets not get overdramatic here.

My only hope is that we are in negotiations with a replacement manager and that no announcement will be made until those negotiations have been finalised. It’s a very faint hope I know.

That's the hope - that they have learned from sacking Koeman and having Rhino in charge for far too long - to the point he was coming out as a broken man saying he didn't want the job permanently, it was that bad. We can just hope that its Silva out on a Monday, new manager announced on the Tuesday... hopefully a stellar appointment like Allegri or Mourinho.

How much of the downturn in form this season be put down to Silva losing his number 2? That Boa Morte guy has been involved this season instead of Sousa or whatever his name was

A manager cannot be the players friend, he is their manager.
The assistant manager and a couple of senior players usually act as the bridge between players and manager.
I can't say that the relationship between manager and players is too close but certainly there seem to be players who do not fear the threat of being dropped and there seems to be a couple who have very little hope of being picked.

I would guess that amongst the playing staff at present the feeling towards the manager is quite mixed with a number having mixed feelings about each defeat.

If that's the case then they need to address it and bring someone else in. Keep Boa Morte as an attacking coach bring in an older more experienced assistant manager. Won't happen though lol same way we'll wait 2 weeks to get beat by West Ham then sack Silva

  • The league position
  • The silence from the club
  • The 'no fear' blurb from Marco
  • The lack of comments from the captain
I know i had a gentleman's bet here he wouldn't be sacked, and i still don't think he will but this is beyond comedy. As i've said previously we had a public bitch fight over this manager, had to settle out of caught, paid over the odds for players HE wanted, we sack him now not only is embarrassing for the club. its egg on Mosh face.

You’ve got no idea. I read the book years ago.

You’d wrap the players in cotton wool and we’d be in the same situation we are now. Everton have been a soft touch for years and people like you probably want the manager to be given more time because if we change managers it disrupts things - let’s stick our heads in the sands and hope it gets better by some miracle.

You’d be handing out contracts to dust merchants like Mirallas and co because we’re a family and we don’t want to upset anyone.

Clueless.
