Squads need time to knit but sometimes players don't knit into squads for one reason or another it's the same with managers for some reason most top managers have desire a driving personality an seem to gel with there players I don't think Silva has any off these and it's only a matter of time untill the board finally make there mind up

Thing is mate every single squad and team he’s managed in the prem have had the same problems. He could have RS players and still conceded from set plays every week if they followed his instructions

Yep because it’s 8 games

He’s been here over a season, he’s also had 3 teams in the prem , all unable to stop shipping goals from corners, all unable to score from corners, all unable to come back and get any points from a goal down. He has PLan A and no plan B, the worrying thing is his plan A is proven over 2-3 seasons to be gash and not even close to a successful formulae

I want us to avoid sacking Silva if possible - not because he's been great - because of instability and the fact that there will be a lot of turmoil, new team building and a very expensie 2 year turnaround again, if we do. Instead, I wish there was a way someone could tell him - i.e. Brands - to NOT use Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson in the same team, and to find a balance of pace and power as well as neat and simple passing. Siggy is good, but doesn't have the drive that we need, and with Schneiderlin and Delph that trio is just not powerful enough to drive our midfield. From the available options, I really think that trio needs to be Davies, Delph and Iwobi and of course Gomes for Davies when he's fit, JP for Delph when he's fit - though we have no idea what he'll be like.
For me, the problem is not so much the players but the tactics and strategy, and if somehow Silva would tweak this, I think we'll do much better. I just cannot understand how Scheneiderlin gets picked again and again, and the big tactical mistake of Silva is to play our midfielders who have similar levels of pace and power in the same trio. We need 3 different midfielders in the middle, or a 3-5-2, otherwise I think we are doomed

How about this? If it HAS to be 4-2-3-1, then it has to be Iwobi and Bernard shuffling around the no.10 role and one of them drops wide.
It it's a 4-3-3 then Davies, Gomes, Delph and JP for Delph when he's back and this could adapt to a 3-5-2 when required

What a fantastic way to endear players to their new manager. Clearly you haven't read the book on 'how to win friends and influence people'. Even disturbingly, I think you actually believe in what you're saying!

Why would you want to endear yourself to a bunch of lazy, crap ,wage thieves ? It’s called setting the standard. The mentally strong players that want to win and that actually put effort in will not be annoyed by it as it doesn’t apply to them and would probably like to see a manger that wants similar players in the squad. Imagine being digne and watching schniderfraud jog around passing backwards and leaving the pitch without a bead of sweat on his brow or a hair out of place. Would drive me nuts , the minimum requirement is effort and half of the players aren’t giving 100% imo

Yeh I know the season is still in it's nascent but it's one of those scenarios for me where I'm looking at last season as a whole + the start of this. For the majority of Silva's regime we have been TERRIBLE and right now when I watch them it's not like I'm thinking "that looks good, that could click and work". Literally nothing happening on the pitch looks to be promising.

THIS !

Even last year with Gana we went on a terrible run and yes we went through a good spell too, but still had a Fulham away performance in us. He has too many bad runs, fails to make proactive changes, wont divert from a crap formation and is now talking utter rubbish in interviews. Get him gone

Not surprising, If he loses against West Ham Farhad will give him the boot most likely I hope, Hopefully we're using these two weeks to sound managers out.

Now puts added pressure in the West Ham fixture and could make the atmosphere slightly toxic.

Unless of course the players realise the importance and get their fingers out of their arses and put a good shift in.

To be fair we'll always have a Fulham performance in us. Even City have had the Norwich game this year, but all upper midtable sides are going to have a few games a season where they lose games you would expect them to win. It's why they're only upper midtable.

And all the other teams in the Premiership know exactly what his Plan A is.

Another one of those unhelpful lazy analyst prone to one's cognitive bias.

He wont change. He cant change the basics of what he see's is right. Even though his history in the prem alone has him down as a manager not to touch with a barge pole.
Saturday was a killer as an Everton fan to watch the opposition team SO CLEARLY know you have a weakness and exploit it. Hendrick first half round the back unmarked. Nearly. Between the manager and the players surely somebody does something.
2nd half. Exact same. GOAL.
We're embarrassing right now at how naive and comical we are.
Next away game Brighton. Can guarentee their manager already has a plan for set pieces specific for playing Everton.
