Thanks for asking.
The crux of Everton's problems stemmed from Koeman's incoming players. This created a rather imbalance squad without a plan to accommodate them. In my mind, Koeman had to go because he was no longer trusted on the transfer market. Sam Allardyce added another two players of insufficient quality, Tosun and Walcott, that did little to turn Everton into a quality side again. Like Koeman, Allardyce had to go because he couldn't be trusted on the transfer market.
Brands and Silva have to clear up the mess left behind by our previous managers. This project will take some time to come to fruition. In the meantime, Brands and Silva have bought good players to club with the ability to improve with age, scoring goals from all positions, and have injected pace. Mina has the ability to score lots of goals. Richarlison is another player who will only get better in time. DCL9 will improve by age. Brands and Silva are clearing a number of players away from Everton thus freeing up the wage bill in preparation for better quality players.
Both Brands and Silva still need to recruit more players, particular in our spine. The key to Everton's success is to get their transfer targets spot on in a succession of transfer windows. Liverpool and Tottenham are masters on this. Brands and Silva haven't bought a bad player yet. If Everton is to fight for the top four places then they have to ensure they have the means to make bold transfers in the future like Klopp did. Great tactics can only take you so far, great players will make you win things. We don't have great players and it will take time to get them or develop them.
Sacking Silva risks us going back to the cycle of buying poor players and sacking managers. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."
