2019/20 Marco Silva

We hounded Koeman out after 20 defeats but people are still defending a guy who’s lost more
Koeman didn't understand this club and thought he was better than us. Say what you like about Marco, he appreciates us and knows how lucky he is to be here. He just needs time to get this squad into shape, too much dross from too many poor managers to sort out in 12 months.

Four defeats in a row away from home.

The Blues have won just 12 away matches in the Premier League stretching back to the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign

I noted Moshiri was in attendance for the second game in a row which is highly unusual. He's obviously sending a message to both Marco and the fans. The clock is ticking for Marco once more.
He's now in the second season of his third Premiership club and his record speaks for itself - his teams concede too many goals especially from set pieces yet he refuses to switch to man marking at corners. He can't seem to motivate his players, his teams don't come back from a goal down to win.
Worse of all his teams go on extended relegation form runs.
He won't survive this season and will be back managing in Portugal next September. We can count ourselves very lucky Watford didn't let him go mid season. Can you imagine him trying to organise a woefully out of form Keane, Kenny, Holgate and Cuco to defend? I think there's a 50% chance he'd have relegated that team.

I personally lay the blame for today at the hands of the referees and players.

You seriously can't expect Pickford to not save that first goal.

The absolute weakness of our team, seasoned professionals, to not see the victory or draw out is beyond the pale.

I could sit here and make a case for every defeat we have had under this fella, lots and lots of excuses players switching off, dodgy refs, spineless players, the wind, VAR, injuries, but its a results business and he should and will rightfully be judged by me at least on results he gets here. Last season he got some very good results, but this season so far its just defeat after defeat.

Im still reluctant to say sack him, cos im honestly terrified of who comes next.

Some people have kidded themselves that Jose, Allegri, Simeone are even aware that we exist, they dont or that The Ajax fella will fly over at the drop of our skirt. Nobody is leaving an established team to roll the dice here, nobody.

Last time we punted a manager we got the best option at the time, I still think Sam was the correct decision. Currently I dont think we are where we were last time, even considering our form, but I also think we will struggle to get anything more than a Moyes or a Hughes.

Fear of the unknown is no reason to stick with a clearly failing manager, but im still scared.
