a lot more chance than with silva in charge tbf

for the record though, do not think jose or any other top manager would touch this club with a barge pole

which is why honestly I think they haven't binned silva yet, I think if he had a top manager come out and say he was remotely interested silva would be gone, they just don't want another allardyce situation
As long as there is money to spend there will always be a good chance of getting a decent manager.

Farhad, just go and offer £12m a year to Jose.

With Jose as manager there are several certainties to happen:
  1. DCL will be sold to a club at his level - Brentford or maybe even a Sheffield Wednesday
  2. Walcott and Schneiderlin will never play for Everton again
  3. He will attract a stellar name we never thought we could ever sign - like a Timo Werner.
  4. We would identify the weaknesses straight away: Keeper, Centre Half & striker
He could win us the League Cup, maybe even qualify for Champions League and we would actually compete at Anfield at Stamford Bridge. If it all goes sour in the 3rd season I wouldn't even be arsed.

Marco Silva and a 52k seater stadium are never going to bridge the gap. What ever happened to "nothing but the best..."

I think we can all see the issues with number 4, probably even Silva. Problem is we are balls deep with three money pit remnants of the Koeman/Walsh era in JP, Keane and Sig who cost 110m and are recurringly picked as a result. Irrespective of form, clangers, conceded pens, missed pens, anonymous ghost displays..

Were Mourinho, or anyone else, to look to address those problems, we crystallise an eyewatering loss plus we have to replace them. All in that's likely 200m in losses and replacement costs in one season from a FFP perspective. On three players. That is the scale of the problems we face. FFP implications, points deductions ? Unless Uzzie comes in and sponsors the toffee sweet lady for 100m a year, none of the above is happening. And thus we plod on until these underachievers contracts wind down.

17th, we had a similar points to game ratio ( 10 pts from 10 games now and was 8 points from 9 games then)

bare in mind we played arsenal, Chelsea away, city away, united away, and spurs at home

juggle in the Europa league, and the squad we had

Silvas record in those circumstances is FAR worse in my opinion

Turns out we were both wrong, 18th it was with 8 points from 9 games

Fixtures is a fair point. But that team was absolutely miles worse than this one on paper.

sorry I did mean 18th ( I even used BBC sport like you as a reference hahaha )

that's my point, koeman had a far worse squad and 10x harder games and still come out with similar points

what was our points total/position when koeman was sacked?

Not much in it but slighty worse when Koeman was sacked but he also had a lot tougher start that season so we are probably in a worse situation currently under Silva considering we have only played one top 6 team.
