Give him what he wants. We’re supposedly ambitious.

Who else is he going to in the Premier League, if not us?
"give him what he wants" ffs do you read the stuff you type? We're a business, We don't have unlimited funding no matter how much Moshiri has spent and we have a proposed stadium in the works but yes lets just give him some absurd salary and transfer money.

Football clubs are not run like every other business. If you believe that, you are very naive.

Do you think Moshiri genuinely thought Fat Sam was a long term option? We literally paid him £346,000 a week over the 6 months he was here. He always knew he would be getting sacked as soon as the season was done and so did Moshiri.

Fat Sam had us bent over because;
We were utter crap and heading for a relegation battle.
He specializes in saving teams with his negative football.
He knew he was the man for the job and Everton had no one else to turn to.
Why would Mourinho be arsed trying to fix this club when he can just go to a good club with a top squad and get them firing easily, He'd be perfect for Spurs, We're stuck with another Marco Silva until we hit the jackpot and that man takes us to the places we want to be.

Spurs who are notoriously tight with their money?

Also, the brilliant Spurs could be below us come Sunday evening and half their squad want out.

But you assume Spurs would go for him - Levy is a tight arse and may not want a personality like Mourinho who is polar opposite to Poch. Football isnt black and white its that type of thinking that had the likes of Sky determined to link Zaha only to Arsenal in the summer despite our bid made as they couldnt comprehend that Zaha may be interested in coming here.

I think spurs will go for Ten Hag if Poch is sacked personally.

Yeah they are tight with money but they've got a really good squad and wouldn't need to spend that much compared to Everton.
The brilliant Spurs who finished 3rd and reached the CL final last year, Yeah them.

I kinda agree with that, but for probably a different reason. Jose has zero to prove to football. Nothing.

And he is a football man, obvs. I was a half decent salesman back in the day, and I could create a narrative that might appeal to him. Spurs and Arsenal, of the face of it, look way more attractive. But literally anything he does at Arsenal will be calibrated against Wenger. And the coin Kronke will lob at him for players will mean light years until he gets that squad doing much, PL/CL wise. Similar Spurs, with half their squad off next year anyrate.

Being credited with delivering with us, dunno, might just appeal the romantic in him.
Jose tends to do better with underdogs. They are more coachable than the Pogba’s and Hazard’s of the world.

A really good squad that is clearly unsettled as a number of them want out.

Unless Jose Mourinho has told you he'll never manage Everton or that he has on record turned us down your opinion is any less more valid than someone saying he could join us.

No one knows ultimately.
Even if he does turn us down it will never be broadcast, such offers are made and refused discreetly.
No club wishes to advertise refusals or to admit the manager they do appoint was not their first choice.
So unless he does arrive here( he won’t) you will probably never know for certain whether we approached him or not.

Realistically tho - will they? Squad weak as piss, money not unlimited - why would they? It's, as they say, a long term project.

Dunno mate. Just musing really. But in terms of recognition, some managers might see delivering sommet in L4 as opposed to somewhere in London might be seen as a better validation of their ability.

Probably wont happen anyrate, but it fills some of the internet nevertheless.
