You sell the club short.

You think a good manager wouldn't see the possible spending opportunities and not find that attractive?

The big drawback at this club is the DoF who needs to be cast aside and his job title binned forever. DoF's at Everton dont work.
I think Brands needs to be given more time personally. Reason being he has had to come in and rid the club of people getting paid ridiculous money which has obviously come at a cost as we have still had to pay wages as nobody would buy them outright.

Any decent manager wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole right now have you seen where we currently are? How much the first team is lacking be it through injuries etc? We are miles behind where us as fans expect us to be. They will bring someone in to steady the ship and who will work with Brands and I think David Moyes will be that manager even if it’s short term (depending what happens with league position and cup runs)

who do you think is going to come here?

So one guy is responsible for overseeing a scouting team, identifying targets, balancing the wage budget, finding clubs for players no longer required, signing players, negotiations with agents, overseeing the youth teams, coaching the first team, picking the team and all the tactics and game prep?

When does he sleep?

That has zero to do with his own pitiful signings...which he paid an arm and a leg for. What he's done is to ADD to our unshift-able player woes.

We've had men like that right throughout history. It only stopped being the case when this 'kin carpetbagger tipped up and took those powers away from the manager. His creation of the BS role of "Director" of Football has almost killed us by wasting half a billion quid on tat.

If we are in talks with Malky Mackay, then I for one would not be overjoyed.
What about Vitor Pereira? I am wondering what Blue Bill has against that fella. I know a lot of folks on here ('team Vitor') rate him very highly
Vitor gets my vote, turns up shirtless on horseback on his first press conference promising the title with his hot lazer formation

Still dont understand what the fuss is about;

GK: Pickford / Lossl
Pickford has been very average this season

RB: Coleman/Sidibe
Coleman is finished and him playing has affected results. Sidibe is still getting used to the team and league.

CB: Mina/Holgate/Keane
Mina is class, Keane is awful so Holgate is the only option next to Mina. Those two need a run of games.

LB: Digne
Class.

CM: Gomes/Gbamin/Schneiderlin/Delph/Delph
First choice midfield out.

AM: Iwobi/Sigurdsson
Sigurdsson is dross and Iwobi needs a season

WF: Richarlison/Bernard/Walcott
Richarlison is class. Bernard decent and Walcott awful

CF: Kean/DCL/Tosun
Kean and DCL need games this season, Tosun in the bin

No new manager would be able to come in and turn this into a top 6 team...and funnily enough we should be joint 6th now but for VAR in the past 2 games. If we were 6th you wouldnt be posting negativity.

The fact is that he needs at least;

CB + RB + CM + RF = 4 starting players now and that doesnt even account for injuries.
I agree the squad is short in areas. But he should still be doing better than fourth from bottom and we should at least see some kind of philosophy and style of play to build on. All I see is panic, constantly changing team selections bad substitutions and in game management there is nothing to build on.

...and with his black arm band and his sexy wife wearing a bikini.
It annoys me that Blue Bill has some beef with Vitor. He would be the perfect man to take our team of brave lion hearts to glory in our gleaming new stadium beside the azure blue Mersey...by the way, how's the new stadium build going?...I imagine it's starting to look quite impressive.

I think the signings from Brands have been improvements on what we had. The only downsides to recruitment was the summer and not getting a CB and someone who would come in ready made to get goals.

due to injuries which we have had no luck with this season so far we will need to go into the January market so let’s judge him on where we are with signings come feb 1st

He's signed injured players and players with injury histories, and £34M for the likes of Iwobi and almost £50M for Richarlison and £30M for Kean, a lad with 11 top flight goals...that's pathetic use of our resources.

No ifs or buts, the DoF idea has been a huge failure.

Almost half a billion spent in three years under this system...and we're just above the relegation zone.

It's a disaster for Everton.

Honest question, is there any club operating with an "old school" set up where the manager is absolutely 100% responsible for the playing staff, coaching and transfers in the Premier League?
