You see quite a few (about 15 players) are deemed not to be good enough by Ronald Koeman. They were given contract extensions and were signed by Martinez. Now that we are struggled to get rid of them permanently. These players are still employed and paid by this football club. Hence, this factor restricted Koeman from adding new players to the squad.

that is a good point, seems less injuries this time around and any that do get injured seem to be serious ones rather than minor. Quite funny to think about considering martinez was meant to be a qualified physio was he not?

I would say it is because more of our players are fit for longer and the ones who aren't are seriously injured instead of pulling muscles all the time.
