the fraud said our defensive frailties are still there??? only 3 teams have conceded fewer than us all season you clown!

they are though. we still are too weak on defending the wide areas, stopping crosses, dealing with set pieces and we still have plenty of individual errors happening. stats are good, but from watching the games I dont think we are defensively as good as that stat implies. Im sure the new boss will continue working on it.

He has fantastic experience in Russia mate.
Last time he went he came back with niasse and didn't want to play him himself!

Well they dont just hand a major international football post to any old divvy do they?

Roberto will be in the biggest tournament in the world next summer and hopefully Lukaku can step up and take them a long way. That would be a feather in the cap of our club having an ex-manager and a few players involved. If Lukaku is still here like.

They do when they are skint and hope to ride out the next campaign based on how good their players are rather than how good the coach is.

I remember another country doing that not too long ago, shame all they achieved was being the best in a generation who failed at tournament level...

Martinez in talking BS shocker.Great comment here from Stevemol on the Echo's comments section.

Unfortunately Roberto, getting knocked out in two semi-finals is not success and it's not "close to silverware". Close to silverware is being in the final with the match still to play. Our league position at the end of last season was the best indicator of where we were success-wise. You didn't fool the fans with your Klopp-style "we had all the possession", "pressing game", "playing from the back" comments. You let standards at the club slip with your laissez faire management style and the players had a hard time accepting the harsh reality of Ronald Koeman's observations ie they weren't fit and some of them weren't up to the job. Every player that you left for Ronald that is still at the club, is fitter, keener to play and prouder to be an Everton player and that makes success more likely. Funes Mori and Williams are slow and are clearly short term, but as a team we can now defend corners and score from them - two facets of the game that you didn't seem to consider important.
