Moyes deserved his time here. He made a mistake for his career by leaving Everton. In contrast, Martinez was well deserved for his sacking.

He made a big mistake by being found out as a footballing dinosaur.

He was great when he first came here, a proper breath of fresh air.

Walker finished 3rd in the Premier League 2 places higher than Martinez ever acheived so that automatically makes him a better Premier League manager.

I understand the Gerrard hattrick one. I wanted him sacked to after that but the meaningless Arsenal game after finishing fourth? Nah.

Any score that requires the vidiprinter to put the opponents score in text 7 (seven) - 0 is unacceptable to me.

That said, the Bucharest game was worse. I properly fumed during that game as me and my mates were laughing at how bad Bucharest were for the first half hour or so, then all of a sudden we were 5 goals down! One of the most naive performances I have ever seen that one.

That wasn't with Everton though, it was with a Norwich team that had an emerging Chris Sutton

As far as Everton are concerned, we've never had a worse manager than him since the PL began

I just wanted to mention how Mike Walker managed to finish higher in the league than Martinez ever did. If Martinez's cup win with Wigan can be used (as it often is) than so should the fact thast Mike Walker outperformed him in the PL.

Obviously for Everton he was rubbish, no argument there.

I'd like to thank Bobby again for giving me a season where at the start of every game I felt like we could win it and when talking champions league I felt we could really do it. For giving me one of the top two or three seasons as an Everton fan since Big Joe Royle won us the cup. Cheers Bobby it was an enjoyable ride.

To repay the pain of the next two seasons I would like to line him and a few of the players up and kick them in the balls. Equal punishment for them all for such dire league performances.

Hope he makes it to the WC final and loses to a Seamus Coleman screamer in extra time.

I think my favourite moment in that first season was that 3-0 win over Arsenal. That was one of Evertons all time great performances since the day's of Joe Royle. They couldn't live with us that day.It was an awesome performance. After that game i said to myself were back in the big time.On the flip side of that was that second leg against Dynamo Kiev the follwoing season.I really should build a bridge and get over that one.But we went over there and scored two crucial away goals in a hostile place to visit. That would have been enough to get us through 3-2 on aggregate but we undid all that by conceding 5 goals.I think for me that is when i started to really turn against Martinez and it was all downhill after that.

Yeah Walker taking Norwich third and turfing Bayern out of the Uefa just seems impossible to square with the guy who showed up at Goodison. It was like Everton was his retirement or something, like he'd done something good, once, so didn't need to be a football manager any more.

That would be almost too perfect.
