That would be almost too perfect.
Ha, we are coming at it from different sides but would both be joyously happy

Moyes and Smith were the perpetrators of dinosaur football. I'd jail them before I entrusted a football team to them. What they tried to set up was, or at least should be classified as, a criminal offence.I think that's a bit harsh, we played some really nice stuff under Moyes at times. The style of play was never an issue for me, the issue was that we had players capable of playing good stuff yet every time a big game came up we bottled it and reverted back to being "solid" and going into ultra defensive mode. It was tedious as he never learnt from it.

Leaving out HKs last two spells, we've had two managers who tried to play football in the PL era: Harvey and Martinez. This Dutch lad's first instinct is to get a lot of balls into the box for a big lad like Pelle. I dare say we'll see a return to that if he replaces Lukaku with some lampost like Bas Dost next season. What you;ve seen in the second half of this season is not Koeman's style. His style is what you saw up to Christmas before Bolasie was crocked.
Walter Smith was a man fitting for that era in Everton history. The only thing we had to hope for was survival and we just about achieved that.Unlike Moyes and Martinez he did manage an Everton team that won at the KFC box aka Anfield! As for Moyes that man was responsible for the most infuriating defeat for me as an Everton supporter. That 2012 FA Cup semi final against that lot.I'll always be grateful for Moyes for stabilizing the club and making us competitive again but i'll never forgive him for that bottle job against a mediocre Liverpool team.As for Koeman and the style of football. There was nothing wrong with the style of football when we thumped Man City and Bournemouth at Goodison this season.
Forgetting a certain joe Royle?Moyes and Smith were the perpetrators of dinosaur football. I'd jail them before I entrusted a football team to them. What they tried to set up was, or at least should be classified as, a criminal offence.

We didn't play great football under Joe. They were better players than the reputation they gained, but not exactly school of science were they?Forgetting a certain joe Royle?

The best moment of a very grim season. Norwich was the first game I felt confident of winning all season after El Fraudo finally got the bullet.D-day...one year anniversary. Thanks you the Mosh for sacking the fraud.
Dave this is exactly how the vast majority of us felt at first about Martinez and his first season. It was pure durge after that like but the first season mirrors what you say here perfectly. We didn't play great football under Joe.
